How You Know You Are Living In A Totalitarian State

It is simple. No one ever asks Obama any hard questions. He is allowed to lie his way out of everything, with some of the most transparent and pathetic lies ever put on display.

Half the country is up in arms with outrage, and they have no voice. Just like the Soviet Union.

Maybe I’m wrong but if you build new harbours or improve them so that bigger ships can make a shorter route or can get closer to the client, the harbour where these ships went before will lose work and jobs.

If all Bakers are open 24/7 people won’t eat more bread.

If all the production is done by robots how can people without a job buy the products these robots make .

How can We The People pay Big Government without a job.

Big can only exist if small is healthy if not you break the food chain

He only wants people to Feel Good about giving the Government money to spend. The money for infrastructure should already be allocated. We are already paying to maintain infrastructure. At least I thought that is why we are paying tariffs and gas taxes to the government. To them it was just extra monies to spend at their pleasure.

That’s why climate skeptics need to actively engage the science loving hipsters and geeks of BoingBoing.com, Reddit, and the Makers movement, especially since very much unlike the skeptical demographic of retired engineers whose testosterone level is naturally low and who have already made their mark on the world in their personal lives, those hacker culture libertarians have their whole rebellious nature wrapped up in highly organized grassroots activism against government and corporate invasions of privacy. The existential boredom of their draft lacking generation makes them feisty. They do not overlap very strongly with the usual maniacs of lefty political sites, as they are more likely to snub you than snicker and spit, since their lives are not defined by hatred but merely extended adolescent rebellion.

A current fact of life is that a handful of their favorite pro-science “skepticism” groups early on were themselves duped by hockey sticks and the nice guy syndrome of most skeptics still places zero pressure on those groups to reexamine their shtick.

Your Twitter presence is a great example already as classic “ad busting” except you don’t need a ladder and spray paint to carry out your “culture jamming,” like their hacker hippie heroes did.

    • Eric Simpson says:

Good post, Nik. You’re definitely shining a light on a demographic that could conceivably change their mind and then help break the strangle hold of the old warmists and media elite. And that’s an outstanding idea, I can’t agree more, we should carry the battle to the likes of BoingBoing and Reddit. And don’t mock the warmists there, but be cordial and intelligent in a constructive conversation. Huge.

    • Richard T. Fowler says:

You’re talking about brainwashed automatons as if they were something different.

The whole point of 1984 (lost on most readers today, of course) was to spotlight the method of creating a whole new generation, clear across the socioeconomic spectrum, who loved their enslavement and who literally couldn’t care less whether anything different was even possible or ever had existed, nor whether the basis for maintaining the system was a pack of lies. When Winston tries to point such things out to them, the proles just ignore him and cordially change the subject. How do the ‘hipster hackers’ react? Do you remember?

There’s a reason why older and younger folks have self-segregated in the current struggle. They speak entirely different languages and have completely opposite moralities and agendas.

Take me for example. Being in my late 30s, I got just the very beginning of the brainwashing efforts. My parents utterly rejected them, and shielded me from them to the best of their ability. As a result, while I’m not really a full member of either group, I can at least talk to older folks here about various things. We agree about much, and even where disagree about things, you “get” me, and I “get” you. Those other guys, I can’t even read most of what they write without either

      – being completely baffled as to what they’re trying to say;
      – starting to regurgitate; or
      – wanting to rant about the obvious mendacity of it.

And I imagine they’d react similarly to most or all of what I’d have to say.

Not two generations but two completely different dimensions, near-perfect opposites of each other, and separated by only a few short years in time, perhaps 8-10 years at the very most. Probably more like five. (Separated by the period 1975-1980 when the operation was still in beta and ramping up.)

Nothing whatsoever to do with the draft or with testosterone levels. The difference is the application of state-of-the-art hypnotic and subliminal programming on a worldwide scale. Pure, unmitigated evil.

      • Richard T. Fowler says:

P.s. The hope is of course to deprogram as many as possible, and while I daresay the vast majority cannot be, for those who might, you don’t do it by presenting information at “their” websites. With their brainwashing, they’ll perceive that as a capitulation and actually become more strident in their delusions. The key is to use face-to-face opportunities to convince them to tone it down and become a bit more humble in their beliefs regarding the science. Then if that’s been accomplished, direct them to a site run by an older person. Then, and only then, is reprogramming possible, and even then it can probably only be partial.

        RTF

      • From my longtime experience, I agree with your 1975-1980. Instead of “ramping up”, I would say, “congealing”.

        • Richard T. Fowler says:

Thanks; you can see it so clearly because of course you haven’t been programmed not to be able to see it. I have great sorrow for those who’ve come after me.

  4. JimmySpags says:

Scientists at CERN in Geneva have announced the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science.

The new element is Governmentium (Gv). It has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.
These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lefton-like particles called peons.
Since Governmentium has no electrons or protons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact.
A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction normally taking less than a second to take from four days to four years to complete.
Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2- 6 years. It does not decay but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places.
In fact, Governmentium’s mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.
This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass.
When catalysed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons. All of the money is consumed in the exchange, and no other by-products are produced.

This has always been the case. People are just starting to wake up to it.

And when Hillary runs in 2016, you can bet her nominal McCain-Romney clone opposition candidate will never bring up any substantial issues either. Maybe a sex scandal or some other irrelevant trivial b.s., but no Benghazi, Whitewater, Vince Foster, Waco, etc…
