He was talking 60 states because he mentioned he would not be going to Alaska and Hawaii.
He had been in 57 with one to go and his staff would not let him go to Alaska and Hawaii, my math says that adds up to 60.
And your logic is impeccable. But he will forever be known as the imperialist that expanded the US by 7 states – 57 states.
