More Low Temperature Records Than High Temperature Records In 2013

So far this year there have been 2,115 low temperature records set at all US HCN stations, and 1,594 high temperatures.

In 1934, there were 10,712 high temperature records and 3,313 low temperature records.

Obama says the climate is getting hotter and more extreme.

    for a more balanced look, see http://www.weather.com/news/science/environment/cold-records-beat-warm-records-first-time-1993-20131203 . It is pretty clear the earth continues to warm, but no one expects this to be a uniform every year is hotter scenario.
