Monterey Bay Scientists Affected By Climate Funding Disorder

Monterey Bay affected by climate change

Monterey Bay is a microcosm of the “immediate and growing threat” of climate change in California, the state Environmental Protection Agency said Thursday.

From rising sea levels and ocean acidity to declining populations of chinook salmon and sea lion pups, global warming is here

Lactating female sea lions leave their pups for days at a time to forage for food. Scientists believe warmer ocean temperatures in 2009 reduced coastal populations of fish, causing the lactating mothers to travel farther for food and abandon their pups beyond their fasting limitations.

Utter bullshit. Monterey Bay pH measurements show the exact opposite. pH was higher at the end of the time series than it was at the beginning,

The tide gauge at Monterey Bay shows no change in sea level for at least 30 years.

Government agencies are now engaging in outright fraud over global warming.

The pH measurements are interesting. During the El Nino of 1998, the pH went up, then fell back down as the El Nino waned.

But I am constantly scolded by beaker-toting *experts* like NOAA’s Lubchenco that CO2 causes the globe to warm, and ocean pH to drop.

Oh, never mind. I keep forgetting that climate science is an oxymoron.

Just wanted to take a second to thank you for riding herd on this misinfo battle going on. The sheeple are happy to read the headlines and gasp. I’m ashamed of how the grant whores are so easily able to manipulate the message. The kids growing up haven’t got a chance.

Makes perfect sense in this brazen new bizzarro world. Generation entitlement is owed global warming by the government.

You did not add in the “Proper Adjustments”. That means you are Cherry Picking Raw data. No self respecting Climatologist uses Raw Data to present their case. You first have to run it through a Model that has been properly tuned using the latest Al-Gore-Rhythm to get the BEST results.

The Al-Gore-Rhythm is a contraception method that Albert Arnold Gore Sr. should have been practicing at least 9 months before Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. was born.

Maybe the seal lions have to forage for days for salmon because they’ve eaten all the damn things.

I wonder if the sea lion – Salmon — predator – prey cycle follows the standard predator – prey cycle. Like the coyote – rabbit relationship in this plot: http://www.freemansperspective.com/rulership/

    Well –

Monterey Bay used to be the denizen of one Marcia McNutt, then director of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, later short-time director of the US Geological Survey, then demoted to Editor-in-Chief of “Science” magazine. Still looks semi-hot in her usual cocktail outfit, regardless of title.

None of this has anything to do with health of the ecosystem or any minor changes in the Monterey Bay environment. It’s all celebrity and politics.

The geological perspective shows that nothing – repeat, NOTHING, today is “unprecedented’, odd, extraordinary, or alarming.

People, PLEASE forget this crap and go back to making wealth. It will sustain you and your family.
