The government’s inability to hide it’s illegal actions is the concern. Fraud is ever so much more difficult to perpetuate when everyone can bypass the anointed media outlets.

Since the 2004 election, the term “Swift Boating” (or “swiftboating”) has become a common expression for a campaign attacking opponents by questioning their credibility and patriotism in a dishonest manner. The term is most often used with the pejorative meaning of a smear campaign.
The best defense against charges that you’re conducting a campaign in a dishonest manner is the truth. Democracy like making sausage is a messy business that only tyrants or would be tyrants have reasons to fear. I know the doctor who treated Kerry in Viet Nam and I will lay you 10-1 that Kerry is a scum sucker and that the allegations against Secretary of State John Kerry are 100% true. Besides, you can’t question someone else’s credibility or patriotism if the person being looked at has no credibility or patriotism and that fits Kerry to a Tee.
It is testament to how corrupt the media is, that they swiftboated the swiftboaters. Kerry is, and has always been, a fraud. According to Kerry himself, his mother told him on her deathbed, “Integrity, integrity, integrity”.
Mothers always know us best, and obviously John has a lifelong issue.
An alternate definition would be the occasion of having people that you betrayed expose the truth about you.
Kerry left out “with lies” on the end–harder to govern with lies.
