Slowest Arctic Melt On Record

Over the last three weeks, Arctic ice area has declined by 662,000 km², which is 60% of normal and the slowest on record.

    —-and temp drop MAY be the result of a PDO phase shift to negative which is cooler and also as a result of the shift a change in wind direction. In the past, strong winds simply blew the ice to areas which were warmer and thus increased the melt, (more melt anomaly in the summer than in the winter) It would be excellent if the poles sea ice melt both went in the opposite direction. Then there would be even more creative explanations. .
