NOAA CEI Busted – By NOAA

2016-07-29193011

NOAA says that there has been no increase in heatwaves east of the Rockies, which covers more than two-thirds of the US.

But while the Midwest joins the overall warming trend, it has not been hit frequently by summer heat waves, according to Ken Kunkel of NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information

“The Midwest has not experienced any substantial summer warming and this spills over into heat waves,” he said. “The period of most heatwaves for the Midwest remains the 1930s Dust Bowl era.” In North America, there has been an increase in heatwaves west of the Rocky Mountains, but to the east, generally not, he said

Sizzling Midwest Previews a Hotter Future Climate

This directly contradicts NOAA’s CEI (Climate Extremes Index) which shows a very large increase since 1970 in the area of the US affected by unusual summer heat.

High and Low Temperatures | Climate Change | US EPA

The NOAA CEI graph above is baseless. The area of the US affected by hot summer temperatures has plummeted since the 1930’s. This is confirmed by the EPA graph below, which is also derived from NOAA (non-CEI) data.

high-low-temps-download4-2015

High and Low Temperatures | Climate Change | US EPA

I’ve detailed this below.

2016-07-06050219

Splitting it up geographically, the area east of the Rockies (about 70% of the US) has seen a decrease of more than 50% in the area covered by 100 degree weather.

2016-07-29172411

West of the Rockies has also seen no increase, and is currently near record lows.

2016-07-29170926

Let’s focus specifically on 2012. NOAA CEI shows 2012 almost as hot as 1936, but it wasn’t even close in either the west or the east. The NOAA CEI graph is completely fake data.

The maps below show visually just how much hotter 1936 was than 2012.

NOAA CEI is just one more example of blatant government climate fraud.

Climate Superstition Is Weaponizing The Ignorant

2016-07-29094802

Tornado activity has been near record lows, so Bloomberg wants you to forget about them and focus on The Empire State Building being struck by lightning as evidence of “climate change.”

It’s largely our own fault.

Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions

Every short term rainfall record in the US occurred before 1980. In 1956, Maryland received over an inch of rain in one minute.

Extreme Weather: A Guide & Record Book – Christopher C. Burt – Google Books

Then the geniuses at Bloomberg claim that 8-10 inches of rain in 12 hours in West Virginia is a “1,000 years rain.”

Forget Tornadoes. Rain Bombs Are Coming for Your Town – Bloomberg

In 1943, West Virginia had almost 14 inches of rain in one hour. Apparently that must have been more than 1,000 years ago. Pennsylvania had 34 inches of rain in 12 hours in 1942.

Climate alarmists are no different from 16th century Europeans who burned 15,000 witches for “cooking the weather.” They observe ordinary events, and convince themselves that it is unprecedented and somebody’s fault.

More BS From DMI

DMI shows Arctic sea ice extent well below last year, and near a record low.

osisaf_nh_iceextent_daily_5years_en (4)

Ocean and Ice Services | Danmarks Meteorologiske Institut

In fact, there is more ice than last year, and it likely that 2016 will end considerably higher than last year. This is because the big red spot (below) in the Beaufort Sea disappeared in a storm during the second week of August last year.

PaintImage815

The forecast is for very cold air over the Beaufort Sea the next two weeks, so it is unlikely that a lot of melting is going to occur there. This is shaping up to be a disastrous year for Arctic alarmists, and it will be interesting to see how the graphs progress, and if and when they catch up with reality.

Jerry Brown – Climate Moron Of The Day

There is science, logic, reason; there is thought verified by experience. And then there is California.

Edward Abbey

Last night California Governor Jerry Brown angrily blamed the California drought on Donald Trump, which seems just about as rational as believing that a witch turned him into a newt.

During the 1977 global cooling drought, which Brown called “the worst in recorded history” – he called for desalinization of seawater.

 Screen Shot 2016-07-28 at 2.21.01 PM-down

Three years later, California was flooding and he forgot about desalinization.

Governor Brown never built the desalinization plants, but he did spend $70 billion building a train which he thought would prevent droughts. And last night he bragged about how successful his carbon tax is.

Climate Talking Points For Trump

I was on the Charles Butler show this morning (starts at around 28:00) and Charles said he would forward some key climate talking points over to the Trump campaign. Democrats are very organized with their climate talking points, and have the media trained as attack dogs. Their  propaganda is easily countered by a few simple points.

Almost all of our heat, light, cooling, communication and transportation is done using fossil fuels. All of our food and medicine is transported using fossil fuels. Without fossil fuels, every tree would get cut down by people needing to burn wood for warmth. The air would be thick with smoke like China. People would be starving to death and freezing in the winter. There would be no Internet, mass transit or communications. If we “keep it in the ground” or “make electricity prices skyrocket” like Democrats want to do,  it would be an immediate catastrophe like nothing mankind has ever faced.

  1. There is no 97% consensus of scientists. In a 2013 survey of the professional members of the American Meteorological Society, only 52% believed that global warming was primarily man-made – much less dangerous. No group in the survey came anywhere close to reaching 97%.

In 1975, the National Academy of Sciences said “The climates of the earth have always been changing.” Blaming every weather event on humans is not science, it is superstition.

2. Heatwaves are not getting worse. According to the EPA, the worst heatwaves in the US (by far) occurred during the 1930’s – when the Midwest commonly saw temperatures over 110 degrees, and as high as 120 degrees.

5. Hurricanes are not getting worse. The US is experiencing a record quiet period for hurricanes.

No hurricanes have entered or developed in the Gulf of Mexico since September 2013, a stretch of well over 1,000 days. By the end of this week, the streak will be the longest on record, dating to the 1800s.

11. Glaciers have been melting for a very long time. In 1879, John Muir (founder of the Sierra Club) found that Alaska’s largest glacier had retreated 48 miles since 1794. Twenty thousand years ago, Chicago was buried under a mile of glacial ice.
