I don’t normally make longer term Arctic ice forecasts, but some things going on this year are compelling. DMI shows ice extent dropping rapidly and just above 2012.

The maps which they are derived from show little ice loss over the last few days.

The map below shows the differences from the same date last year. Note that last year’s advantage was mainly due to ice in the Beaufort Sea, Southern Arctic and Eastern Arctic, but this year there is a lot more ice in the Chukchi and East Siberian Seas.

Last year’s advantage was an illusion. The ice in the Beaufort Sea last year was very diffuse and disappeared in a storm during the second week in August. The southern and eastern ice also melted a few days later.

If the skies remain cloudy over the East Siberian Sea, 2016 should end up with more ice than last year, because there is much more ice this year on the Russian side. The weather is forecast to remain cold over the Beaufort Sea, so there should be minimal ice loss there too.

10-Day Temperature Outlook

If my prediction is correct, alarmists are in trouble – because next year will become the first year in a decade where there is a significant amount of multi-year ice on the Russian side.

Washington DC has had a few hot days, and may reach 100 this weekend. The Washington Post announces that sciences proves this is due to global warming, and an Obama tweet proves it.

I spent the last few summers in the DC area just outside the beltway in Maryland, and we didn’t have any hot weather to speak of.  I never used AC where I was living. DC used to have a lot of hot days, but they are rare now.

The same pattern is true across the entire US.

This date in 1936 was one of the hottest on record in the US, with actual temperatures of 117 degrees in the Midwest. It was 99 degrees just west of Washington DC.

This is the standard opposite from reality climate fraud which we see coming out of Washington DC every single day.

Fifty years ago, Philadelphia was having its worst drought on record. Sad to think of Debbie and Hillary having to drink salt water.

I was sitting at the bar in the Burlington Airport this afternoon, and realized that the guy sitting next to me talking on the phone was Bernie’s campaign manager. I have no idea who he was talking to, but I picked up a few choice quotes.

“(Debbie) is just not good. Even if she was on our side, she would not be good”

“I’ve thrown Polk County Democrats under the bus. Bernie didn’t want to do it, but I talked him into it”

“I’m on CNN/MSNBC all day talking about it. How can Bernie not know about it? It is ridiculous”

On October 28, 2015 Ted Cruz launched this brilliant team player attack against CNBC, and appeared destined to be the GOP nominee.

He rose steadily in the polls and was nearly tied with Trump, when he wrecked his campaign on January 14.

He never rose another point in the polls, started hanging out with Glenn Beck, and collapsed completely last week in Cleveland.

Had he chosen to be a team player all along, he would probably be the nominee.
