Climate scientist criminals have gotten so desperate, they are trying to blame record Antarctic Sea ice on global warming.

These crooks don’t even make any attempt to mask their fraud.

That interpretation tends to irk climate scientists, who point out that the Antarctic’s gain in sea ice is more than canceled out by the much larger melting of ice in the Arctic, so that the overall pattern is one of melting sea ice.

That claim is utter nonsense. For the past three years, global sea ice area has been averaging above normal.

Antarctic sea ice is expanding because Antarctica is getting colder. The waters around Antarctica have been persistently below normal temperature for several years.

When that became a political problem for them, they simply changed the data.

The level of fraud from these criminals is breathtaking. They don’t make any attempt to be honest or accurate anymore. It is all about protecting their scam.

By rights, the beluga should have been 2,000 miles to the north in the Barents Sea.  Thousands of belugas live among the ice floes that litter the area east of the Svalbard archipelago, but only on extremely rare occasions do they swim as far south as the British Isles.

There isn’t one shred of real word evidence to back up any of these criminals’ claims about a meltdown or catastrophic sea level rise.

A storm in the Beaufort Sea is pushing thick ice towards the coasts, and causing extent to increase. Extent is continuing to track just below 2006, the year with the highest minimum of the past decade.

Most of the Arctic is covered with clouds, so the slow melt will continue.

Government scientists know perfectly well that global warming isn’t happening. Their best data is from satellites, which show no warming for almost twenty years.

But there is $29 billion per year being distributed by the government to perpetuate this massive fraud – so it continues.

The Arctic Basin is full of ice, most of which is thick multi-year ice – and cold temperatures have settled in over the region.

In a few weeks, there will be a huge increase in four year old ice, as the three year old ice (green) reaches its birthday. Most of the Arctic Basin is now covered with multi-year ice.

Arctic sea ice is making a very strong recovery, but government funded climate criminals will not mention this – because they are paid to generate global warming propaganda for the White House, not disseminate factual information.

NOAA makes a large adjustment to the US temperature record based on Time Of Observation Bias. The idea is that most station operators were morons in the 1930’s, and reset their min/max thermometers in the afternoon – causing double counting of warm days.

It is easy to test this, by eliminating all stations which took readings in the afternoon during July 1936.

The set of all stations shows about 0.3C warming since 1895.

The set of stations which took morning readings during July, 1936 shows slightly more warming – about 0.4C. These stations are biased cold in the past, because they took their readings too close to the daily minimum.

The total bias caused by afternoon TOBS is a little more than  0.1C (0.2F)

This is much less than the bloated adjustment used by USHCN. But what about hot days? Did afternoon TOBS cause double counting of hot days in 1936? The evidence shows that there was little if any such effect. The trend is almost identical between the two data sets.

The total NOAA adjustment is nearly two degrees F. It is unsupportable nonsense, and fraud.

Hansen claims that his models predicted Antarctic sea ice expansion

In this sense, expanding Antarctic sea ice might be anything but good news.

Indeed, in the troubling scenario outlined by Hansen and his colleagues, it’s part of a series of feedbacks that lead to rapid sea level rise. “Amplifying feedbacks, including slowdown of [the Southern ocean’s overturning circulation] and cooling of the near-Antarctic ocean surface with increasing sea ice, may spur nonlinear growth of Antarctic ice sheet mass loss,” write Hansen and his colleagues.

“Effects of freshwater injection and resulting ocean stratification are occurring sooner in the real world than in our model,” they add.

Reached by phone, Hansen added that one reason he thinks the model he is using is is right — and other models are not — is that it captures Antarctic sea ice expansion. “All the other models have sea ice disappearing as the planet get warmer,” he says. He also thinks the Antarctic ice expansion trend will continue, along with ice sheet melt.

“It will be clearer, give us a few more years,” he says.

Give him a few more years? Thirty years ago he predicted peak sea ice loss right where the peak ice gain has occurred in Antarctica. The exact opposite of what he claims now.
