In Virginia, the weather also has changed dramatically. Recently arrived residents in the northern suburbs, accustomed to today’s anemic winters, might find it astonishing to learn that there were once ski runs on Ballantrae Hill in McLean, with a rope tow and local ski club. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don’t own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory Hill nearly every winter weekend to ride saucers and Flexible Flyers.

Snowfall where he grew up in Virginia has been generally increasing for 115 years, with three of the snowiest years occurring since 2010. (2015 below is estimated) Kennedy’s childhood in the 1960’s was very snowy for a few years, but was the exception, not the rule.

Being a typical progressive, he just wants someone to blame for something.

Five years ago, the National Trust warned that the climate of England could become pleasant, like the south of France.

‘The Met Office are saying that despite the recent concerns about the science, they are very sure about the underlying science. ‘They tell us there is a 50-50 chance we will get a 2C rise. If we pull our finger out we could prevent us moving beyond 2C but we have to act pretty soon‘.

A 2C rise could mean summers in the UK reaching 38C – a climate similar to southern France.

That kind of temperature rise would see the traditional summer deep borders full of herbaceous perennials such as lupins and delphiniums replaced with Mediterranean plans.

But now they have become serious about stopping this imminent danger.

I am hopeful that John Cleese will join her in this worthy, and very English venture.

Georgia summers were hotter prior to 1960, and as far as I can tell they haven’t had any legitimate temperature readings above 110 degrees since 1952. One was recorded at Glenville in 2001, but it looks bogus.

The last three summers were all cooler than normal.

When the White House is threatened, they simply issue an indictment to take someone out. They did it with Petraeus, and now with Menendez.

Oct. 21 — After almost four months of difficult negotiations, the United States and North Korea signed an agreement today to end their dispute over North Korea’s nuclear program

After the signing today, North Korea’s chief negotiator, Kang Sok Ju, described it as “a very important milestone document of historic significance” that would resolve his country’s nuclear dispute with the United States “once and for all.”

He said the agreement, once put into effect, would resolve “all questions of the so-called nuclear weapons development by North Korea” that have raised “such unfounded concerns and suspicions.”

“We have neither the intention nor the plan to develop nuclear weapons,” Mr. Kang said.

At a news conference in Washington, President Clinton said the treaty was “a good deal for the United States.”

“The United States and international inspectors will carefully monitor North Korea to make sure it keeps its commitments,” he said. “Only as it does so will North Korea fully join the community of nations.”

They hate global warming, but eagerly await it.

In other words, there has been no warming for 19 years,  but Joe is expecting another big jump in Gavin’s data tampering ahead of the Paris summit.
