The message for the day  was “we can grow the economy without increasing CO2 emissions”

So they made up some completely bogus statistic about CO2 emissions, which have been increasing linearly and were one of the highest on record last year.

There isn’t one smidgen of truth to Joe Romm’s claim. It is nothing but propaganda. China is bringing a new coal plant on line every week.

Coal plants are the most polluting of all power stations and the World Resources Institute (WRI) identified 1,200 coal plants in planning across 59 countries, with about three-quarters in China and India. The capacity of the new plants add up to 1,400GW to global greenhouse gas emissions, the equivalent of adding another China – the world’s biggest emitter. India is planning 455 new plants compared to 363 in China, which is seeing a slowdown in its coal investments after a vast building programme in the past decade.

This was blatant fraud on her part. At the time she said it, even NCDC showed that she was lying. I made this screen capture on the day that Guardian article was published, which showed Texas winter temperatures cooling slightly since 1895, and sharply since 1998.

So I went back to the NCDC web site and made a new graph, and was astonished by what I saw. They now show a winter warming trend since 1895

So what does the real data show? Texas winter temperatures have cooled sharply over the last century.

Hayhoe’s claim has absolutely no basis. There is no way that she could have come to this conclusion with any sort of legitimate analysis. The average trend of a group of warming stations is not going to show cooling.

The closest HCN station to Lubbock, where Hayhoe lives, shows winter temperatures plummeting since 1998, with 2010 being one of the ten coldest winters on record. 1907 was their warmest winter on record.

She is defrauding the public. Texas winters are not getting warmer, and have been experiencing near record snow in recent years.

The most recent survey of Golden Eagles  across four large Bird Conservation  Regions (BCRs) in the West (80 percent  of the species’ range in the lower 48  states is in these BCRs) provided an  estimate of 20,722 Golden Eagles of all  ages across the survey area.

The Altamont Pass wind farm kills one Golden Eagle every three days, which means they have killed more than 10% of the population.

Dr. Shawn Smallwood’s 2004 study, spanning four years, estimated that California’s Altamont Pass wind “farm” killed an average of 116 Golden Eagles annually (2). This adds up to 2,900 dead “goldies” since it was built 25 years ago.

Turbine blades are as long as a football field, and travel more than 100 miles per hour. They create low pressure in their wake, which sucks flying creatures in and then decapitates them, like ISIS terrorists.

January 6, 2012 (San Diego’s East County) – San Diego County’s 48 pairs of nesting golden eagles and even rarer bald eagles could be in peril if proposed industrial-scale wind farms are built.  In a press release issued today,  Save the Eagles International (STEI) issued a dire warning, providing detailed documentation proving  that golden eagles and their nests are disappearing rapidly near wind farms across the U.S.

The group also blasted the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service for changing its mission from protecting wildlife to “catering to the interests of an industry” that is a “ruinous one to boot.”

Although the studies focused on golden eagles, if no major action is taken, wind turbines’ razor-sharp blades will also threaten the existence of other species, STEI predicts.

The international group “solemnly warns the Western States that the biologically-blind policies will cause the extinction of the Golden Eagle, the California Condor, and other species of raptors.” Also at risk are species in Eastern and Central states, such as the Whooping Crane.

After church I was talking to my friend from Trinidad and Tobago this morning, who quit her job in the Baltimore Schools because she was constantly being subjected to racist taunts and other abuse from black teenagers.

They told her to “go back to her shack in Africa” called her a “lesbian” “bitch” “ugly” and threatened her.  This went on day after day until she couldn’t take it any more. She said that it made her very sad that she had to look for a job in a white classroom, in order to avoid racist taunts from people of her own color.

Californians are by far the biggest threat to the environment in the US. They moved to a place which is normally in extreme drought, sucked the water dry and stole it from all the other states.

 California’s current drought is being billed as the driest period in the state’s recorded rainfall history. But scientists who study the West’s long-term climate patterns say the state has been parched for much longer stretches before that 163-year historical period began.

Now they are killing millions of birds with their “green” windfarms.

California is a cancer on the environment.

Winds compressed Arctic sea ice for a few days, which caused the usual morons to declare apocalypse. The ice is expanding rapidly now, is above 2006 levels, and is about to pass 2005 levels.

Ice has returned to the levels it was at a decade ago.

There is going to be a lot of ice growth over the next week.

The movie started out with James Hansen claiming that Venus was 600 degrees because of 97% CO2 which was trapping heat.

Apparently Hansen can’t do his own basic math.

Hansen says that each doubling of CO2 causes a 3C temperature increase. Venus has 97% (0.97 mole fraction) CO2.  In order to get to 97% on Earth, we would require less than 13 doublings. That would raise temperatures by about 35 degrees, using Hansen’s own exaggerated theory. Nowhere near 600 degrees.

Hansen’s own theory can’t explain the high temperatures on Venus, yet he continues to parrot the same mindless nonsense decade after decade.
