Comedy Hour

We actually have people commenting here making the argument that a blanket doesn’t keep you warm, because it doesn’t make you hotter than your body temperature.

Why Do They Build Dams?

Dams are often built to generate electricity.

The way this works is that the dam impedes the flow of water, and thus increases the potential energy of the water behind the dam – creating a  large potential energy difference between the two sides of the dam.

This large difference in potential energy allows for a high energy flux through the turbines which drive the generators.

Greenhouse Effect Is At The Core Of Weather Models

Every modern weather forecast model has a radiative transfer model in its core, which models the greenhouse effect.

Weather models would not work without fairly accurate models of the greenhouse effect, because humidity and cloudiness have a large impact on temperature  – largely due to the greenhouse effect.

People who don’t accept the greenhouse effect – are simply not dealing with reality. And they make skeptics look extremely ignorant.

The greenhouse effect is fundamental physics. People who can’t accept that fact, make it more difficult for skeptics to get their message out.

Don’t do that.

Learning To Think Like A Climate Expert

The winter of 2012 was very warm in the US, and had record low Arctic sea ice cover. Subsequent years have had more Arctic sea ice, and much colder winters.

From this information, climate experts like White House science czar John Holdren have concluded that missing sea ice makes winters in the US cold, which is the exact opposite of what the data indicates.  They do this, because they have the IQ of a turnip.
