Ban High Capacity Dinosaurs

Student arrested for conspiracy to murder a dinosaur.

A 16-year-old Summerville High School student says he was arrested Tuesday morning and suspended after writing about killing a dinosaur using a gun.

Alex Stone said he and his classmates were told in class to write a few sentences about themselves, and a “status” as if it was a Facebook page.

Stone said in his “status” he wrote a fictional story that involved the words “gun” and “take care of business.”

“I killed my neighbor’s pet dinosaur, and, then, in the next status I said I bought the gun to take care of the business,” Stone said.

Summerville police officials say Stone’s bookbag and locker were searched on Tuesday, and a gun was not found.

“It Is Not A Black Vs. White Problem”

I had a long discussion today with an immigrant from the Caribbean. She moved to Baltimore in 1990, and taught in the public schools there for several years, until her husband insisted that she quit.

Every day as a teacher she was threatened and abused by “black teenage boys.” She said that people have no idea how frightening it is dealing with these gangsters. She said it had nothing to do with money – the Baltimore Schools are the best funded in region.

She said that kids throw laptops and other pieces of expensive equipment on the floor. They have no interest in learning, and have never been taught any responsibility.

She arrived in the US uneducated and by working hard got a Masters degree over the next 19 years. It is a cultural problem, not a racial bias problem.

It is not a black vs. white problem. It is sick white progressives feeding a sick culture of entitlement.

What I Learned Yesterday

Yesterday, readers taught me that I shouldn’t enjoy life because

  1. I blog too much
  2. I shouldn’t enjoy soccer
  3. I shouldn’t enjoy the opening of Whole Foods today.

See – I don’t have a TV so I don’t know which things I am not supposed to enjoy. Please tell me what other aspects of life I shouldn’t enjoy.  Thanks in advance.

Learning How To Think Like A Progressive

Progressives tell us that all of creation is accidental, and the result of entropy and disorder.

“the scientist’s religious feeling takes the form of a rapturous amazement at the harmony of natural law, which reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is utterly insignificant reflection. This feeling is the guiding principle of his life and work, in so far as he succeeds in keeping himself from the shackles of selfish desire. It is beyond question closely akin to that which has possessed the religious geniuses of all ages.”

25 Years Ago – When Baseball Saved Lives

With the prospect of a Nationals/Orioles World Series looming, I am reminded of the last similar series in 1989 between the Giants and the A’s. Almost everyone left work early which saved hundreds of lives – because the Earthquake hit right at rush hour and collapsed the Nimitz Freeway. If not for the World Series, the freeway would have been packed with commuters.
