NSIDC Shows A Huge Increase In Old, Thick Arctic Ice
Climate experts tells us that the Arctic is melting at unprecedented rates, while NSIDC maps show that the amount of 4/5 year old sea ice in the Arctic is 310% of what it was in 2011.

Arctic experts used to describe the amount of MYI as the key metric of “Arctic sea ice health” – but right now they are focused on the nearly meaningless metric of maximum ice extent.

Assault With A Deadly Pop Tart
An attorney for an Anne Arundel County 7-year-old suspended from school for nibbling a breakfast pastry into the shape of a pistol is seeking to have the student’s record expunged, and said he plans to appeal to Maryland’s highest court if necessary.

Good thing he didn’t nibble his Pop-Tart into the shape of a car. They kill one million people every year.

Desmond Tutu Grants The World Another 15 Year Reprieve!
Desmond Tutu The Guardian, Thursday 10 April 2014
We need an apartheid-style boycott to save the planet We must stop climate change. And we can, if we use the tactics that worked in South Africa against the worst carbon emitters
This week in Berlin, scientists and public representatives have been weighing up radical options for curbing emissions contained in the third report of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The bottom line is that we have 15 years to take the necessary steps. The horse may not have bolted, but it’s well on its way through the stable door.

This is quite a relief, because James Hansen had previously given us only until 2012.
President Obama ‘has four years to save Earth’ | Environment | The Observer
Hansen’s 2012 number was in itself a major reprieve from the UN’s original deadline of 2000
And Paul Ehrlich said we would all be dead by 1980
“I’m scared,” the lean, intense scientist (Paul Ehrlich) told an interviewer. “I have a teenage daughter whom I love very much. I know a lot of young people, and their world is being destroyed – my world is being destroyed. I’m 37, and I’d like to live to be 67 in a reasonably pleasant world, not die in some kind of holocaust in the next decade.”
We should feel very blessed that the bishop has granted us an extra 50 years beyond Ehrlich’s original deadline.

New York Times Explains The Mindset Of Global Warming Fascists
The play of tolerance opposes the principle of monstrous certainty that is endemic to fascism and, sadly, not just fascism but all the various faces of fundamentalism. When we think we have certainty, when we aspire to the knowledge of the gods, then Auschwitz can happen and can repeat itself. Arguably, it has repeated itself in the genocidal certainties of past decades.
The pursuit of scientific knowledge is as personal an act as lifting a paintbrush or writing a poem, and they are both profoundly human. If the human condition is defined by limitedness, then this is a glorious fact because it is a moral limitedness rooted in a faith in the power of the imagination, our sense of responsibility and our acceptance of our fallibility. We always have to acknowledge that we might be mistaken. When we forget that, then we forget ourselves and the worst can happen.

Michigan Having Their Coldest Year On Record
Through April 6, Michigan is having their coldest year on record, 5C (9F) below normal. This is reflected by the record ice on the Great Lakes, and is at direct odds with the tampered data released by NCDC.
