No Correlation Between Changes In Atlantic City Sea Level And Changes In Global Temperature

Sea level at Atlantic City has been rising linearly since the start of records in 1912.

www.psmsl.org/data/obtaining/rlr.annual.data/180.rlrdata

According to NASA, global temperatures were flat for 35 years between 1940 and 1975, yet sea level continued to rise at the same linear rate during that time. This is a big red flag that sea level is not affected by global temperature.

If sea level was affected by global temperature (i.e. glaciers melting) we should see a relationship between either sea level rise rates and global temperature, or sea level rise rates and change in global temperature. In fact, we see neither.

There is no correlation between change in sea level and change in global temperature.

ScreenHunter_507 Dec. 21 07.51

There is also very poor correlation between change in sea level, and the absolute temperature anomaly.

The only correlation we see with Atlantic City sea level is vs. time. This hints strongly that apparent sea level on the East Coast is driven by subsidence, rather than “global warming.”

Global Sea Ice Area Closing In On Record High

Global sea ice area is second highest on record for the date after 1988, and closing in the #1 spot. Antarctic ice is melting very slowly this summer, due to record cold Antarctic temperatures.

Heidi Central Continues To Slime Their Readers

U.S. Winters Are Warming, But Regional Precipitation Changes Are More Nuanced

The Heidi slime team wanted a red map, so they picked the start as the 1970’s ice age scare – including three of the coldest winters on record in the US.

If we go back to the 1930’s, winter temperatures have declined 0.5C. The map would be almost solid blue. Three of the ten coldest winters have occurred since the year 2000.

Thirteen Years Of NASA Data Tampering – In Six Seconds

GISSUSTampering1999-2013

1999 version : www.giss.nasa.gov/data/update/gistemp/graphs/FigD.txt
2001 version : www.giss.nasa.gov/data/update/gistemp/graphs/FigD.txt
2012 version : data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs_v3/Fig.D.txt
2013 version : data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs_v3/Fig.D.txt

The animation above shows four versions of GISS 1930-1999 US temperatures – from 1999, 2001, 2012, and 2013. NASA has repeatedly tampered* with the data to hide the decline in US temperatures since the 1930’s. Each successive alteration makes the past cooler and the present warmer.

Earlier versions showed even more of a decline, but I can’t locate digital data for them.

*Mosher says these adjustments are all first rate science.

The Dirty Little Secret Of Polar Amplification

We have reached the summer solstice in Antarctica, and record amounts of sea ice are reflecting light back into space and cooling the planet, a full 30º away from the pole – where the sun is high in the sky.

Polar amplification is happening, but in the opposite direction of what experts predicted.

They will whine about ice loss the North Pole, and I will appropriately humiliate them when they do.

Reality Is A Denier

I saw an interesting comment on a discussion forum the other day

“Wood for trees is a well known denier site”

Wood for Trees is a graphing site which allows you to plot out temperature data sets, among other things. Apparently actual data is biased towards deniers, which gives the site a bad reputation among alarmists.
