One exceptionally stupid argument of modern progressives is that guns are now a useless deterrent against tyranny, because military weaponry is too powerful.

That explains how a bunch of goat herders in Afghanistan have thwarted invading Soviet and US armies for 24 years since 1980.

Google News is full of stories today claiming that Americans are ready to give up their Constitutional rights – in order to honor the lack of adequate security at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Meanwhile, another 10,000 Americans will purchase firearms today to protect themselves, like they do every day.

It is time to agree to the enhanced background checks progressives have been screaming for. One of my kids just texted me this :

On background checks it should have a box “are you a liberal” if yes is checked they are denied buying a firearm.

Arapahoe High School is next door to a Whole Foods Market which I frequent. The store always has an armed policeman to protect the food.

The high school is a gun-free zone, which made it possible for a child to walk around carrying a shotgun for 14 minutes.
