In the last two days, nearly 200 Americans have died unimaginably violent deaths – in twisted metal in their automobiles. This is nearly as many as get killed by rifles in an entire year.
It is time for President Obama to sign an executive order banning sales of any vehicle which can travel faster than 15 MPH.

That’s the lens through which President Obama saw his responsibilities, and it’s a consistent theme in all the stories we’ve collected. Every decision he made was meant to stop the economy from spiraling out of control, put people back to work, and reverse the trends that had buffeted middle class for decades.
Obama did reverse the trends. He replaced steady below 5% unemployment under Bush, with 7.6% chronic unemployment and the weakest recovery of all time.
Obama sends rifles to middle eastern terrorists, so that they can fire them into crowds of people at military bases in Syria. He calls them “freedom fighters”

Twenty-five years ago, NOAA recognized that the most robust temperature data set (US temperatures) did not show any warming. This wasn’t going to bring any money in, so plans were made – and by the year 2000 they had completely corrupted the US temperature record – to turn a long-term cooling trend into a warming trend.

Since Obama took office, the US has averaged 0.6 hurricane landfalls per year. This is the fewest hurricanes of any president since at least 1850. By contrast, Grover Cleveland’s presidency averaged more than five times as many hurricanes per year as Obama’s.
In my part of the world, there are lots of well behaved guns. They almost never shoot people and their presence provides an extremely effective deterrent to home invasion.
However, in heavily Democratic parts of the country (*D.C., Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Detroit, L.A., etc.) guns aren’t so well behaved. Apparently their guns need to attend obedience training.

Boulder scientist has grim drought forecast for West

Future Western droughts could last an average of 12 years, spanning half of the region and severely reducing Colorado River flows that supply millions of people, according to climate projections from a Boulder scientist.
Eighteen of the world’s most powerful computer climate models were used in the study, presented Tuesday by Martin Hoerling, of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
