Last summer, Arctic alarmists got very excited about an early winter storm which pulled a lot of heat out of the deep water, and melted the ice edge back. What they didn’t consider is that the heat was gone out of the water, which led to the large increase in ice this year.

But it is worse than it seems. This year’s storms have spread the ice out – increasing extent and exposing more water to cold air, causing even more heat loss.

So the ice is getting more extensive and the heat content of the water is declining. Putting this another way – the alarmists are screwed. There will be a large increase in multi-year ice next year, which is even harder to melt.

Just kidding.  The other 3% also want it repealed.

The Obama sweating melodrama didn’t produce much at the box office, because his acting skills are bush league and because of the cool summer.

Time to prepare for winter.

• If it is warm, complain that it isn’t cold like it used to be before climate change.
• If it is cold, blame it on climate change
• Never forget the sacred winter of 2012, when unprecedented extreme weather allowed people to play golf a few weeks earlier than normal.

It has been noted that year by year, for the past two decades, the fringe of the Polar icepack has been creeping northward in the Barents Sea. As compared with the year 1900, the total ice surface of this body of water has decreased by twenty per cent. Various expeditions have discovered that warmth-loving species of fish have migrated in great shoals to waters farther north than they had ever been seen before. Recession of the Barents Sea ice fields have been verified in recent years by numerous vessels of the Soviet mercantile marine plying between Murmansk and Spitzbergen.

NCDC reports that July was the 30th warmest on record in the US, and that July temperatures have increased by about 1F since 1895.

The thermometer data they used (prior to data tampering) showed that July was the 71st warmest, and that there has been no change in July temperatures since 1895. The animation below shows how they have created a completely fake warming trend by good old fashioned data tampering.

The next graph shows how they have systematically cooled the past and warmed the present – to create a non-existent warming trend.
