I just got this E-mail from the President,

Thanks to the grit and resilience of the American people, we’ve cleared away the rubble from the financial crisis and begun to lay a new foundation for stronger, more durable economic growth.

Translation : Five years ago in September I was way down in the polls, so me and my banker friends came up with a scam to get me elected in return for a trillion dollars of your children’s money. It also gave me an excuse to permanently under-perform while blaming Bush.

But we’re not there yet. We need a strategy that builds on the cornerstones of what it means to be middle class in America, and what it takes to work your way into the middle class.

Translation : We are doing everything we can to make sure that your children never get wealthy.

Briffa’s trees showed this inconvenient drop in temperatures after 1940, which didn’t suit the hockey stick product requirements which Mikey had been tasked with.

Briffa’s trees showed the same post-1940 drop as the 1975 NCAR and National Academy of Sciences’ graphs, as shown below.

The next graph shows the NCAR temperatures overlaid on Briffa’s trees. Almost perfect!

But that didn’t suit the product requirements which Jimmy and Mikey were working on, so Jimmy created a new surface temperature record which didn’t look anything like the National Academy of Sciences or NCAR records, while Mikey chopped down Briffa’s trees and spliced on Jimmy’s new surface temperature record.

Presto!  A hockey stick which had nothing to do with reality. Just what the doctors ordered.

Too bad the IPCC wasn’t so clever in 1990.

They tell us that the remaining ice is record thin and rotten and failed and slushy and that the temperatures are hotter than ever. They also tell us that all the ice will be gone this summer, and that the storm will destroy the rest of the ice.

Does it ever bother these people that they are completely full of shit?

Chris Christie: Rand Paul ‘dangerous’

“This strain of libertarianism that’s going through parties right now and making big headlines I think is a very dangerous thought,” the New Jersey GOP governor said on Thursday at a Republican governors forum in Aspen, Colo. “You can name any number of people and (Paul is) one of them.”

But he thinks this guy is awesome.

I was stuck in line at the supermarket for half an hour last night, because a Mexican woman came in with some Colorado food stamps. She had seven different types of food stamps, each of which was designated for only certain food types. So the cashier had to separate the sale into seven different very complicated transactions.

The purchaser didn’t speak English, and I thanked my lucky stars for the morons in Denver who are called the “Colorado government.”
