In four weeks, Jesse’s son will be sentenced for defrauding the people of Illinois and stealing $750,000.

On Tuesday, the court announced the new date was Aug. 14.

The former congressman faces up to four years in prison and his wife, former Ald. Sandi Jackson, up to 18 months.  The disgraced former political power couple pleaded guilty in February to looting Jesse Jackson Jr.’s campaign fund of $750,000. They will be sentenced in Washington, D.C., where the FBI investigation originated.

The city of Detroit filed the largest municipal bankruptcy case in U.S. history Thursday afternoon, culminating a decades-long slide that transformed the nation’s iconic industrial town into a model of urban decline crippled by population loss, a dwindling tax base and financial problems.

The 16-page petition was filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Detroit.

NBC News intentionally hacked the transcript to frame Zimmerman as a racist.

Odds are that most kids wouldn’t have attacked the neighborhood watchman.

They did their best to perjure themselves over Zimmerman’s screams, but no one believed them. Too bad they didn’t put in the effort to raise their son properly while they still had a chance.
