Record low temperatures recorded over Interior Alaska

Just when you thought summer was finally peeking its head out from under the melting snow.

Fairbanks set a new record low temperature of 22 degrees on Monday at Fairbanks International Airport. That broke the old record of 26 degrees in 1938.

A strong cold front moved across northern Alaska Sunday night and temperatures dropped below zero in the Brooks Range and into the teens and 20s over the remainder of the Interior, the National Weather Service said.

The cold air mass resulted in record-low temperatures in other locations besides Fairbanks.

The low of 22 degrees at Eielson Air Force Base broke the record of 26 set in 1965. Bettles had a low of 10 degrees to shatter the old record of 20 degrees in 2007.

Sub-zero temperatures were reported in the Brooks Range north of Fairbanks. The coldest temperature reported was 6 below in Killik Pass. It was 5 below at Atigun Pass and 2 below at Norutak Lake. Winds gusting to more than 25 mph resulted in wind chills approaching 30 below zero in Brooks Range passes.

Obama Not Bragging About The Arab Spring Any More

Outraged locals took to the streets of Benghazi on Monday to rail against a government that has failed to bring security to Libya after a car bomb outside a hospital killed as many as 13 people.

“The country is on a dark and hopeless path now,” said Benghazi resident Bob Abubaker. “The attack was intended to kill civilians. Tomorrow, I can predict it will be a big mess in Benghazi when people go to funeral … the government has done nothing to protect our city.”

Why Is Obama’s World Collapsing?

Obama is a complete fake, who has been created and propped up by an adoring media.

It went to his head, and he started thinking that all of his bullshit was real. He then decided that he didn’t need the press any more, and started excluding them from meetings and doing other things to cut them out of the party.

Now the press is pissed, and is starting to unload all the dirt which they have kept under the rug for the last six years. I expect it is going to get much worse now that the floodgates have opened.

Most of the world’s glaciers were melting during the coldest years on record, when CO2 was 300 ppm.

Climate experts now say that we can stop glaciers melting by lowering CO2 to 350 ppm.  It makes you wonder if any of them actually graduated from kindergarten.

Obama Takes Yet Another Play From Nixon’s Watergate Playbook

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative’s top executive called a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into how news organizations gather the news.

The records obtained by the Justice Department listed incoming and outgoing calls, and the duration of each call, for the work and personal phone numbers of individual reporters, general AP office numbers in New York, Washington and Hartford, Conn., and the main number for AP reporters in the House of Representatives press gallery, according to attorneys for the AP.

In all, the government seized those records for more than 20 separate telephone lines assigned to AP and its journalists in April and May of 2012. The exact number of journalists who used the phone lines during that period is unknown but more than 100 journalists work in the offices whose phone records were targeted on a wide array of stories about government and other matters.
