End of March Northern Hemisphere snow cover has been increasing since Hansen’s 1988 Congressional testimony, and four of the last five years have been above normal.

Warm temperatures in DC and Chicago during the winter of 2011-2012 proved global warming. But CO2 has taken  a vacation this year.

Also, ignore the worse than Afghanistan murder rates in gun-free Chicago and DC.

Falling still means rising

None of this justifies the frequent claim by climate sceptics that global warming has stopped, and may now reverse. Long lulls have occurred before, only for temperatures to resume their relentless rise.

The relentless rise in stupidity among the press over the last couple of decades is indeed a phenomenon. Earth’s temperature regularly cycles about 12C. The unprecedented  0.6C warming over the last 150 years is 97% due to junk science and a dumbed down populace.

Middle-of-the-road expectations are that it will rise 6 to 8 more inches by 2030, 12 inches by 2050 and 24 inches by 2070.

By 2100, it could be 3 to 5 feet higher, said Gary Griggs, director of the Institute of Marine Sciences at UC Santa Cruz.
