Almost all of the murders in Colorado happen in blue counties. The rest of the state has extremely low crime rates. Denver Democrats are determined to export their problems to the rest of the state, and are being pushed by the White House to do that. The best-studied population, in Canada’s western Hudson Bay, fell by 22% from 1194 animals in 1987 to 935 in 2004, according to the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Even NPR knows that is not a myth.

Unger made a plan to move to Churchill, Manitoba, a flat, gray place on the Hudson Bay in northern Canada accessible only by train or plane. For a few months out of the year, as the bay starts to freeze, tiny Churchill boasts as many polar bears as it does people.  Unger packed up his wife and three small kids, and set out with a big bold idea. He wanted to write the quintessential requiem of how human-caused climate change was killing off these magnificent beasts.  In the end, he came away with something totally different, Unger tells NPR’s Laura Sullivan.

“… There are far more polar bears alive today than there were 40 years ago. … In 1973, there was a global hunting ban. So once hunting was dramatically reduced, the population exploded. This is not to say that global warming is not real or is not a problem for the polar bears. But polar bear populations are large, and the truth is that we can’t look at it as a monolithic population that is all going one way or another.”

Paul Homewood brought this to our attention yesterday – NOAA’s climate extreme index is a complete fraud.

They show that temperature extremes were very rare during the 1930s, and very common now.

In fact, it is the exact opposite. The graph below plots the number of all-time daily temperature records set or tied at all USHCN stations which have been continuously active since at least 1920. It is almost exactly the opposite of NOAA’s claims.

Temperature-wise, 1936 was by far the most extreme year in US history – and NOAA shows it as being one of the least extreme. Unbelievable.

February, 1936 was the coldest month in US history, and July 1936 was second hottest month in US history – after July, 1901.

Either NOAA knows nothing about US climate history, or they are intentionally deceiving the public.

Shirley tells us that it is all about faith in the global warming religion. Pay no attention to the historical record or the failure of alarmists predictions. Anyone with disagrees with the Climate Vatican is evil.

You have it backwards, Shirley. You follow in the tradition of bigots, witch burners and freedom haters, which have plagued humanity since day one. The climate is no more extreme now than in the past, and anyone who says it is has not studied the historical record.

If you believe that I am lying about something, than state the facts which contradict them. Calling someone a liar because they disagree with your religion, is as sick as human nature gets.

And the calculations suggest that the rise could conceivably exceed six feet, which would put thousands of square miles of the American coastline under water and would probably displace tens of millions of people in Asia.

During 1954, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, South Carolina and North Carolina were hit by three major hurricanes – Carol, Edna and Hazel.

Hurricane Carol produced a 15 foot storm surge in Connecticut.

By contrast, it has now been eight years since any state was hit by a major hurricane – the longest such period since the Civil War.

People who blame hurricanes on “climate change” have no idea what they are talking about, like the guy who gave the State Of The Union address.
