Barack Obama has only four years to save the world. That is the stark assessment of Nasa scientist and leading climate expert Jim Hansen who last week warned only urgent action by the new president could halt the devastating climate change that now threatens Earth. Crucially, that action will have to be taken within Obama’s first administration, he added.

Empirical evidence does not lend much support to the notion that climate is headed precipitately toward more extreme heat and drought. The drought of 1999 covered a smaller area than the 1988 drought, when the Mississippi almost dried up. And 1988 was a temporary inconvenience as compared with repeated droughts during the 1930s “Dust Bowl” that caused an exodus from the prairies, as chronicled in Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath.

But in 1999, NASA showed 1934 much warmer than 1998.

I overlaid the Climate Central graph on the NASA graph, at the same scale and normalized to 1998 (blue circle.)  As you can see, 2012 is in a dead heat with 1934 – and the past has been massively cooled since the 1999 NASA graph was made. NOAA has created the false impression of a warming trend – by cooling the past!

The Climate Central claim of 2012 being the hottest year ever is based on two big lies. The US temperature data has been massively tampered with, and the US does not represent the planet.

This whole “peer reviewed” scandal is disgusting beyond words. The claim that 2012 is unprecedented is sheer, unmitigated nonsense. EPA data clearly shows that the 1930s was the hottest decade, just as NASA and NOAA did – before they tampered with the data.

Some years are hot and dry. Other years are cool and wet. Droughts and floods occur at the same locations in different years – sometimes in the same year, like Australia in 1850.

It has been like that since the dawn of climate on Earth.

Eugene Robinson says :

Hurricanes striking where they don’t usually strike, fires burning where they don’t usually burn, drought everywhere — these anomalies begin to add up. Scientists have long told us that one impact of climate change will be increased volatility, and unpredictability, in weather events. This appears to be what we’re getting.

Eugene has the IQ of a turnip. Hurricanes strike the coast, fires burn in the forest, drought is cyclical.  If there was a forest fire in the ocean or a hurricane in Colorado Springs, that would be unusual – not the other way around.

These imbeciles imagine that “normal” means exactly the same from year to year. Nature works in bell shaped curves – like Eugene Robinson’s conehead. Perhaps he should complain that it is dark at night,  and that leaves fall off the trees in the winter.

The climate witch-burning community (NASA, NOAA, McKibben, Romm, etc.) has failed to produce any evidence of actual climate change or global warming, so they have adopted a new strategy.

They focus on every weather event, declare it to be the worst ever, and ignore every place else in the world. The Northern Hemisphere has been experiencing record snow cover, so they focus on a lack of snow in Chicago (which is about to get a blizzard.) The Greenland Ice Sheet has a couple of hours above freezing, and they declare it to be a meltdown.

These people are criminally insane.

The rationale for murdering 50 million babies in the US is that they weren’t wanted.

Who else isn’t wanted – and can be disposed of? The Nazis killed far fewer people than Planned Parenthood.
