My Hiking Buddies

I drove down to New Mexico to see my parents yesterday, and took a couple of short hikes with my little buddies on the way. Temperatures were about 30 degrees warmer on the other side of the Front Range.

Today I am going to hike with my dad through the burn area from the 2010 Los Alamos fire. I will post pictures later showing how fire restores the forest, and why my little climate wrecking mutts have higher IQs than climate alarmists.

My USHCN 2.5 Forecast

USHCN deleted their monthly data last week, and apparently are making a transition from version 2.0 to 2.5. My guess about this surprise move is that they are going to make past “raw” data colder, and current “raw” data warmer. This will make their massive adjustments appear smaller.

It will be easy enough to test this, as I have local copies of their old raw data, and will be able to do a direct comparison.

Hottest Year Ever Update

NOAA apparently determined in March that 2012 would be the hottest year ever in the US, but the weather is making their job tougher.

So far this year, USHCN has had to add more than three degrees on to raw temperatures relative to 100 years ago, to keep their mandate alive.

Rapper Doesn’t Get To The Beach Much

Rapper Baba Brinkman also demonstrates incomprehensible and breathtaking stupidity.

“people are currently dying from the rise of the ocean”

This imbecile better not try surfing. He might drown in a one millimeter wave. Reading something in The Guardian is not an excuse for not using your brain.

Michael Mann Strikes Out With Breathtaking Stupidity

Arctic Ice Melt, Sea Level Rise May Pose Imminent Threat To Island Nations, Climate Scientist Says

Low-lying island nations threatened by rising sea levels this century could see the disastrous consequences of climate change far sooner than expected, according to one of the world’s leading climate scientists.

In the wake of last month’s discovery that the extent of Arctic sea ice coverage hit a record low this year, climate scientist Michael Mann told the Guardian that “Island nations that have considered the possibility of evacuation at some point, like Tuvalu, may have to be contending those sort of decisions within the matter of a decade or so.”

Arctic Ice Melt, Sea Level Rise May Pose Imminent Threat To Island Nations, Climate Scientist Says

Sea ice has no impact on sea level, Antarctic sea ice is at the highest level ever recorded at either pole, and sea level is not rising in Tuvalu. Three whiffs for the hockey boy – send him back to strike out in little league.

The Amazing Power Of Global Warming

During the run-up to Wednesday’s debate, I remember seeing kids in the background of live shots wearing shorts and thinking, “Huh. Looks pretty nice in Denver.” Friday morning, it snowed there.

Actually, it turned cold in Colorado  as soon as Michelle landed – and hasn’t recovered yet.

It snowed this week in Minnesota and North Dakota, too, in some places, more than a foot deep. The New York Times notes that such a snowfall is rare.  Well, then so much for global warming, right? Nope.  For one thing, it’s not snowing all that early for these places. For another, as we constantly note, isolated weather extremes are different from the long-term trend. And, third, some scientists are expecting a bad winter — thanks in part to global warming.

Does early snow disprove global warming? | Grist

It is all very simple as they explain it. The Arctic is the earth’s refrigerator. A warming Arctic means less cold air for the rest of the planet.

So as soon as it turns unusually cold, the same flaming imbeciles immediately blame the cold on the non-existent cold air caused by global warming.

Labor Department Competing With USHCN For Top Fraud Position In Government

Obama has apparently been talking to his buddy Hugo about campaign strategy.

Truly shocking in the report was that the number of unemployed people dropped by 456,000 to  12.1 million.

Maybe more shocking, total employment, as measured by the Household Survey, rose by 873,000 in September to 142,974,000, the biggest one month jump since June 1983.

As such, total employment now stands at the highest level it’s been since December 2008 before Obama was inaugurated.

But even more mysterious is the divergence in the two surveys done by the Labor Department.

The Household Survey showed a gain of 873,000 people employed in September – resulting in the surprise drop in the unemployment rate – while the Establishment Survey only showed a rise of 114,000.

Lack Of Arctic Ice Produces Record Snow

Last year, the lack of Arctic ice caused a warm winter in the eastern US, but this year it causes record cold and snow.

Twitter / oakden_wolf: @ClimateDepot Hey Morano: why …

The logic is simple. A warming Arctic provides either more or less cold air, depending on the need of alarmists to keep their brain damaged belief system alive.
