Cheer Up Alaska – Palm Trees Coming Soon

Anchorage may be having their coldest summer on record, but palm trees will soon be growing in the Arctic.

(Clever reporter doesn’t know the difference between the Arctic and the Antarctic)

Global Warming Could Lead To Palm Trees In The Arctic – Business Insider

Palm trees just love it when the temperature drops below -100 degrees.

Joe Bastardi Exposes The True Climate Deniers

Guest post by Joe Bastardi

——————————————————————————————-

One can only marvel at the continued denial  of agw proponents  of the  summers after the pdo flip   and the first el nino that followed. In the  50s,  that was 1951 a cold summer,  more recently   2009, a cold summer.

A look at the Junes and Julys  that followed  52-54  and  10-12

If anything 52-54  may have been warmer.. certainly the  pdo  is colder in this event

How one does not go back and look at this and acknowledge that the cyclical event is for more likely given the same  set of  large scale physical drivers,  is  in fact, a denial of the actual data

I have never seen something  so close. As if nature is loudly trying to tell us something

They Just Don’t Make Droughts Like They Used To

The current extreme drought in Colorado is typified by lush green vegetation, daily rain and floods. In the old days, droughts used to involve dust and dead things.

That was also the days when hurricanes used to actually have hurricane force winds, and tropical storms were actually storms.

Romm / McKibben Think That Glass Melts At 114F

World class stupidity on display

“WOW. It’s so hot in Oklahoma that the streetlights are melting,” ThinkProgress declared, noting the temperature topping off at 114 degrees.

“Hey Senator @InhofePress, even your streetlights are saying #ImTooHot http://ow.ly/cHbX4,” the Climate Reality Project tweeted later, linking to the ThinkProgress claim.

“Senator Inhofe, God may be trying to get your attention. Check out this picture http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2012/08/02/630211/in-oklahoma-its-so-hot-the-street-lights-are-melting/ …” added Environmental activist Bill McKibben, highlighted by blogger Tom Nelson.

That tweet was later deleted.

But according to KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City, the street lamps melted because of a dumpster fire in the area the night before. KFOR first posted the streetlamp photo on its Facebook page.

About Ready To Give Up On The Fox Soccer Channel

The only reason I own a TV is to watch European football on the Fox Soccer Channel. It was great for a few years, but they have started throwing ads up in the middle of the game – which normally block critical stuff going on on the field.

That is bad enough, but about every ten minutes now they show a taxpayer funded Obama campaign ad where he comes on and immediately says “listen up guys – never hit a woman”

Perhaps Michelle has been beating him up?

Why Isn’t This Guy Being Investigated For Racketeering?

After years of denying global warming, physicist Richard Muller now says “global warming is real and humans are almost entirely the cause.”

Climate Skeptic, Koch-Funded Scientist Richard Muller Admits Global Warming Real & Humans The Cause

He is promoting a business and obtaining funding through fraudulent means.

December 17, 2003

“Let me be clear. My own reading of the literature and study of paleoclimate suggests strongly that carbon dioxide from burning of fossil fuels will prove to be the greatest pollutant of human history. It is likely to have severe and detrimental effects on global climate.” –

Why does Muller feel compelled to shake up the world of climate change? “We are doing this because it is the most important project in the world today. Nothing else comes close,” he says.

“It is ironic if some people treat me as a traitor, since I was never a skeptic — only a scientific skeptic,” he said in a recent email exchange with The Huffington Post. “Some people called me a skeptic because in my best-seller ‘Physics for Future Presidents’ I had drawn attention to the numerous scientific errors in the movie ‘An Inconvenient Truth.’ But I never felt that pointing out mistakes qualified me to be called a climate skeptic.”

Switching My Support To Romney

Until 11:00 this morning I was a hard core Obama supporter. Then I undertook the most important  political study ever undertaken, and the results shocked me. They showed that Obama is a terrible president who threatens to destroy the US.

UN Man Who Oversaw Rwanda Massacre, Resigns From Same Role In Syria Massacre

Annan Casts Blame Widely as He Resigns as Syria Envoy

Frustrated by the seemingly intractable Syrian conflict, Kofi Annan announced his resignation on Thursday as the special peace envoy of the United Nations and the Arab League, throwing new doubts on whether a diplomatic solution is possible.

In an announcement tinged with bitterness and regret, Mr. Annan said he could no longer do the job, blaming his decision on what he described as Syrian government intransigence, increasing militance by Syrian rebels and the failure of a divided Security Council to rally forcefully behind his efforts.
