Mass murders look for gun free zones to commit massacres, because they can kill lots of people and don’t have to worry about getting shot. The Cinemark Theatres prominently display their gun-free policy, which made them an easy target for Holmes.

Shooters target schools, movie theaters and camps for a reason – they are easy targets. Mass shootings don’t happen in gun shops.  So how does the left respond?

Create more gun-free zones.

I don’t know how it is possible to be so stupid. The Aurora theatre is already a gun-free zone, and Aurora has practically tried to make themselves a gun-free city. Holmes knew that Aurora was an easy target.

Over the next 100 years, the oceans will contribute nine billion billion grams of CO2 to the atmosphere.

That is 9,000,000,000,000,000,000 grams of climate destroying CO2. The oceans must be forced to reduce this by at least 99.99999999% if we are to keep sea level below 30 metres rise this century.

People were so dumb back in 1960. Hansen has been able to go back in time and retroactively prove that very little warming occurred in Spitzbergen between 1910 and 1960.

Hansen used to be dumb too. His older data confirmed about 8C warming during that period.

But Hansen has since gotten much smarter and has been able to turn that huge 1910-1960 warming trend into a cooling trend. His latest perversion of the graph is shown below.

Four years after my infamous battle with Walt Meier at The Register, I have found the evidence that I was correct all along. It was right under my nose.

In 2007, NSIDC published this map for week 29 (the current week)

This agrees very closely with the Cryosphere today map for 7/20/ 2007.

But it doesn’t agree at all with the official NSIDC extent map from July 2007

I flattened and overlaid the Fowler week 29 2007 map (red) on the current NSIDC map (green) and guess what – there is a lot more ice in 2012 than there was on the same date in 2007.

Something is wrong with the NSIDC database. They show more ice in 2007, and that is simply not correct. Their own map proves it.

Walt Meier was trying to get me to take the blame or pin the problem on CT, but it looks like NSIDC was at fault. There is a lot more ice in 2012 than there was on this date in 2007.

Here are two satellite images which confirm that the ice edge was several hundred miles further north in 2007

By contrast, Cryosphere Today shows almost 18% more ice in 2012 , than the same date in 2007. Yellow below shows ice which was present in both years. Green is 2012 only, and red is 2007 only.
