UCS Concerned That The Truth May Come Out
Groups concerned U.Va. will turn over documents in global warming case
By Anita KumarFour groups say they are worried the University of Virginia may unnecessarily disclose private correspondence from scientists in the case involving the work of former professor Michael Mann.
The state’s flagship university has fought requests to release documents under Virginia’s freedom of information laws to Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R), but the groups say they are now concerned about a May 24 agreement U.Va. made to provide some documents to the American Tradition Institute.Environmental Law Center.
The four groups — the Union of Concerned Scientists, the American Association of University Professors, the American Geophysical Union and Climate Science Watch — sent U.Va. a letter late Tuesday.

These Events Are Consistent With Normal Weather On Earth
Puffington Host logic. I started noticing that there are a lot of babies around – after I started paying attention to babies. This proves that there has been an increase in the number of babies.
Some of the early effects of global warming are far away or ambiguous. How many of us have been to the Andean or Himalayan glaciers or to Greenland or the west shelf of Antarctica? Yes, Russia has recently been on fire; Pakistan under water; crops threatened; cities wrecked by tornadoes, but while these effects are “consistent with” global warming, scientists are hesitant to attribute any specific event to the pattern.

What’s The Point?
Sucking the life out of a climate change victim
The point is that people who claim that the weather or climate was better or more stable in the past, have absolutely no clue what they are talking about. Their belief system is based on superstition, incredibly bad science, and ignorance.
Even worse are people who think they can make the climate “better.” You would have to be psychotic, delusional, or both to maintain a belief system like that.

Every Generation Believes The Climate Is Changing
Global weirding in 1839
It is interesting to know that 100 years ago (1839) the people of the colony were under the opinion each year that the climate was altering, as even to-day (1934) the old inhabitants say the same thing.

Stabilize The Climate – Like 12th And 13th Centuries
Joe Romm gets hysterical over six month droughts. How would he fare through a 660 month drought?
Why would the Anasazi leave — potentially for good — pueblos it had taken them decades to construct? Scientists have found one possible answer by looking at tree rings (a study called dendrochronology) in the Sand Canyon area. In the period between A.D. 1125 and 1180, very little rain fell in the region. After 1180, rainfall briefly returned to normal. From 1270 to 1274 there was another long drought, followed by another period of normal rainfall. In 1275, yet another drought began. This one lasted 14 years.
