Chile Hit By Heatindexwave

Chile hit by ‘white earthquake’ of heavy snow

A “white earthquake” of heavy snow has blanketed parts of Chile leading the government to declare a “disaster area” in eight municipalities where around 16,000 people were left isolated.

Temperatures plunged to as low as -23 C (-9.4F) in some rural areas as severe snowfall wreaked havoc, leaving people without food supplies, mobile phone signals or radio communications.

Miguel Mellado, governor of the province of Cautin, said that in four days from Sunday to Wednesday the area had seen “four months worth of snowfall.”

In the town of Lonquimay, around 350 miles south of the capital Santiago, more than 6,500 people were trapped in their homes after snow piled up to 2.3 metres (7ft 6ins), while in surrounding rural areas it was reported to have reached 9ft.

Have Climate Models Ever Gotten Anything Right?

They seem to be almost 100% negatively correlated with the climate.

Unusual Year?

http://lakepowell.water-data.com/

Reader “rw” wrote in before complaining that I was focused on one “unusual” year of water gain at Lake Powell.

Lake Powell has steadily gained 80 feet of water over the last seven years, and is now 528 feet deep and within 40 feet of full. Another massive climate model fail.

Last month, the White House warned that the Colorado River was drying up.

1047 Days And Counting

Due to the unprecedented extreme weather caused by an increase of 0.00009 CO2 mole fraction over the last hundred years, the US has gone 1047 days without a hurricane strike.

Will Don end the streak?

Lake Powell Still Gaining Water

Despite historically large releases of water from the dam, Lake Powell is still gaining elevation and is at the highest level in ten years. Apparently the “biblical flood” must have hit.

Gavin says that Lake Powell drying up is proof of the accuracy of his toy climate models.

Climate Liars Convince Utah Man To Ruin His Life

On Dec. 19, 2008, a 27-year-old man named Tim DeChristopher, troubled by American energy policy and its contribution to global warming, broke the law.

He did so by attending a federal auction in Utah, where energy developers were bidding on parcels of Utah wildland that the Bush administration had made available for oil and gas development. DeChristopher bid aggressively, driving up the price of some parcels and winning 14 of his own — some 22,000 acres in all — to the tune of $1.8 million. He had no means to pay.

“I understand that prison is a very horrible place,” DeChristopher told me last fall, when I had a chance to sit down with him for a lengthy interview. “But I’ve been scared for my future for a long time. And I think the scariest thing that I see is staying on the path that we’re on right now. Obedience, to me, is much scarier than going to prison.”

He faced 10 years and some $750,000 in fines.

On Tuesday, the now 29-year-old DeChristopher, who was convicted in March of two felonies associated with his exploits, was sentenced to two years in prison and was promptly taken into custody. He also faces $10,000 in fines.

The judge had barred DeChristopher’s defense team from explaining to the jury why he disrupted the auction — because he saw the auction as both illegal and contributing to the “exacerbation of global warming and climate change,” according to court documents.

Government Hopes To Control The Climate – Like They Control Spending

Government has proven their ability to control things very tightly, like their own spending. Now they hope to do the same thing for the climate.

In conclusion, if climate change is not controlled through timely central government means then health losses will occur worldwide.

Shock News : A Skinny Bear Came Off The Ice

The polar bears have come off the ice and some have migrated into the area. One bear has been shot for chasing a tourist who was out alone on the beach photographing. Bonnie’s brother Jack, a manitoba Conservation officer, was not happy with the “fool” for putting himself in that position and in the end causing the bear’s demise. The bear was about half the weight that it should have been…probably the reason it was seeking out some prey.

This seems impossible because bears on ice never get malnourished. Skinny bears are a well known proxy for global warming and a lack of ice.

Polar Bears In A Desperate Struggle To Find Ice

These ice floes are only 5-15 miles wide and 2-4 metres thick. Can they support a full grown Polar Bear?

Hudson Bay has been ice free for about a week. The entire Hudson Bay bear population will certainly go extinct, because bears can not survive without ice.
