Call Me An Oil Shill If You Like

My top ten pet peeves – not necessarily in order.

  • pollution
  • cars
  • traffic
  • big government
  • police
  • oil companies which ultimately provide funding to corrupt middle eastern governments (all of them)
  • wasting natural resources
  • industrial meat farming
  • people who lie about the climate, for the purpose of getting funding
  • people who lie about the climate, for the purpose of taking other’s freedom away

Climate Science Lobotomy – On Sale Now

Over the past few years we have seen record or near record snow cover in both hemispheres. The climate models predicted this – when the IPCC forecast declining winter snow cover, and when East Anglia said that children won’t know what snow is.

Milder winter temperatures will decrease heavy snowstorms

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.

“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.

Warm air means more moisture in the atmosphere – which produces record snow in Florida. It all makes perfect sense.

Will Julia’s Tax Stop This Horrific Heat And Drought?

Julia is solving a non-existent problem with an economically devastating solution – that would not work even if there was a problem. This makes her one of the stupidest leaders who ever lived – though Obama can’t be far behind.

“It’s official – this season is shaping up to be one of the best in decades with the snow depth officially reaching 158.9cm today (as measured by Snowy Hydro Limited at Spencer’s Creek). Not since 1990 have we seen such a snow depth at this time of the year.” Says a statement from Perisher in Australia.

“Skiers and snowboarders are enjoying amazing conditions in Perisher at the moment with plenty of deep drifts to be found across the four resort areas. This weekend will see all 47 lifts open at Perisher accessing four resort areas. That’s 1245 hectares of terrain to explore!”

The huge snowfalls are great news for Australia’s ski areas coming at the start of the winter.  They’re also the latest of two months of serious wintery weather which allowed resorts to open for a rare weekend in May and to have good season openings in early June.

Australian ski areas can also claim the deepest fresh snow bases in the world at present.  Although accumulations at still-open northern hemisphere resorts in the European Alps, Norway, Canada and the US are deeper, there’s been little or no fresh snow in Europe or north America for several months.

LA Cyclists Beat Airbus

First came a clever marketing ploy from JetBlue Airways: $4 flights Saturday between Burbank and Long Beach airports.

A flurry of Twitter activity ensued, followed by tough talk from the Wolfpack Hustle, a local cycling club, that six of its best riders could beat the 150-seat Airbus A320 — including drive time to and from the airports, check-in and security screening.

In the end, the cyclists crushed it, cruising along the Los Angeles River to reach the final destination, the lighthouse in Shoreline Aquatic Park, in 1 hour and 34 minutes.

The plane had barely taken off. Cyclist Joe Anthony, on board as part of the challenge, said there was only one advantage to the airliner.

“It’s legal to drink beer and fly, whereas the cyclists have to follow all the rules,” he said.
