We have already warmed the planet by 1 degree, relative to pre-industrial times, and are almost certainly experiencing an associated increase in costly, extreme weather events to say the least. In Australia, while it is impossible to be definitive about the cause of any single weather event, a list of prime suspects includes last decade’s crippling drought, Victoria’s Black Saturday bushfires of 2009 and this year’s devastating floods.
Australia never had droughts or floods before, other than constantly.
I don’t know about Victoria Black’s Saturday, but here is Rebecca Black’s Friday.

Due to inflation, the government should reduce the debt by 0.3. Inflation makes the debt seem worse than it actually is (in 1931 dollars.) Holders of US bonds should be agreeable to using the 1931 monetary standard – with the 0.3 adjustment.
The CU 0.3 is a new intrinsic number, which joins ranks with Pi and e. Its name is Mj and is normally represented by this symbol. ![]()
Last year people kept telling me that PIPS is evil and Cryosat2 will prove it. Now that we have Cryosat2 data which makes PIPS look conservative, alarmists are complaining that Cryosat2 is also evil.
I propose an adjustment. Arctic ice is expanding due to thermal expansion from global warming. We should subtract 0.3 meters per meter from Cryosat2 data – to account for thermal expansion of the ice caused by man-made CO2. When Arctic temperatures get up to 100C, the ice is going to become extremely thick and we will need to make even larger adjustments.

A few weeks ago we were told by the top rated scientists on the planet that global warming was unabated and that CO2 controlled all weather.
Now we are told that global warming has stopped and it is due to aerosols. This indicates that aerosols are “more ubiquitous” than CO2, and that CO2 has lost its stature as the most powerful force in the universe.

Climate experts tell us that without Chinese aerosols, the world would be heating out of control. I propose that we all send our old tires and other junk to China for them to burn. From the NASA map below, it looks like the could be producing a lot more aerosols than they currently are.

Temperatures are up to a balmy 4C this fine July day in Tasiilaq, and the farmers are out harvesting the ice crop before the winter chill sets in in a few weeks. It is expected that sea level will rise six metres when Greenland melts later in the century.
