God forbid TSA should ever single out individuals who are actually a potential threat. Sticking their hands in children’s underwear is just too important for national security.

Record snowfall behind flooding on Plains
K-State expert says more high water should be expected
Summers on the Great Plains are usually characterized by a lack of water. But flooding in several states has reversed that trend — and it might not be the last of the high waters this year, according to a Kansas State University geography expert.
Richard Marston, professor and head of the department of geography, said that some mountainous states still have 200 percent of normal snowfall for this season. Spring rains have also kept the ground moist, causing subsequent runoff. This has contributed to flooding in North Dakota and along the Missouri River. More flooding also is likely along the front range of the Rocky Mountains, Marston said.
This is exactly what the IPCC predicted didn’t predict.
Can there be any doubt that the heretics of Christianity threatened the survival of Europe? Can there be any doubt that the Aztecs needed to make human sacrifices to keep the climate liveable? Can there be any doubt that Hawaiians had to make human sacrifices to stop the volcanoes? Can their be any doubt that the blasphemy of Infidels now threatens all the world? Can there be any doubt that Jews threatened the survival of Germany? Can there be any doubt that Armenians threatened the survival of Turkey?
What would we do without true believers keeping the world on track?
For Peter Vandermeersch, editor-in chief at the traditionally conservative daily NRC Handelsblad in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, there is no debate about climate change.
“Absolutely, that’s a given,” he said. “The conviction has grown that climate change does exist, and that humans play a major role in how it evolves.”“There’s almost no discussion about it,” agreed Wouter Verschelden, editor-in-chief at the progressive daily De Morgen in Brussels, Belgium. “The nonbelievers have been marginalized, and they aren’t taken seriously anymore. We don’t have to convince our readers anymore of the fact that there is climate change, and that it’s caused by humans.”
The climate changes – whoever could have imagined that? You mean there really were ice ages? You mean that the Anasazi no longer live in Chaco Canyon? You mean the Dust Bowl really happened? You mean that Greenland no longer has lush forests?
What would we do without the true believers of the one true CO2 faith? Man has sinned by producing unsanctioned CO2 – and the wrath of the trace gas gods is now upon us. Unless we repent and make sacrifices of money and feral camels, we will feel the full wrath of climate change.
Same lunatics, different religion.
where the heck is global warming? …. The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t.
– Trenberth2002-2010 The trend is negative (-0.12C per decade),
– JonesA study has shown .. levelling of global average surface temperatures between 1998 and 2009
– Kaufmann“We conclude that there has been no reduction in the global warming trend of 0.15-0.20°C/decade (~ .3 F/decade) that began in the late 1970s.”
– Hansen
Our theories and forecasts fell flat, so we will now attribute everything to CO2 – and contradict everything we said previously.
Where extreme weather and climate change intersect
Saturday, 2 July 2011There are several inconvenient truths relating to the science and politics of climate change.
But perhaps the most inconvenient of all is that so many people remain to be convinced that the climate really is changing.
For the past two winters on the run, for instance, Britain has experienced weeks of freezing temperatures and heavy snowfalls. This is not what we should expect in a world made warmer by the emission of billions of tons of carbon dioxide from the burning of fossil fuels. And every cold snap, wet summer and cloud-filled sky inevitably brings a popular backlash against scientists who warn against letting the climate slip into dangerously instability.
Such a reaction, though, is wrong. And it is wrong because
Climate modelers have demonstrated little skill at forecasting the climate, but they control the debate. Temperatures remain below scenario C, but the modelers are academics and as such are never expected to be correct.
BOSTON — Richard Lindzen is 71. His career as professor of meteorology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology is winding down. The rumpled, bearded, soft-spoken scientist no longer teaches regular classes and looks forward to a quiet retirement a year from now, perhaps at his second home, in Paris.
“Quiet” is not a word you could apply to his career. In the 1970s, he developed a mathematical analysis that disproved much of the accepted scientific theories about how “tides” in the Earth’s atmosphere move heat around the planet. For that, he won a number of prestigious awards and was invited to become a member of the National Academy of Sciences at the tender age of 37.
In the 1990s, when a group of climate scientists using computer-driven climate models and environmental groups asserted that climate change caused by man-made greenhouse gases would dangerously warm the Earth, Lindzen set out to disprove them. He lost that battle. The message of the computer modelers is now the prevailing wisdom of the National Academy and other distinguished scientific bodies around the world.
THE world’s association of camel scientists has fought back angrily over Australian plans to kill wild dromedaries on the grounds that their flatulence adds to global warming.
The idea is “false and stupid… a scientific aberration”, the International Society of Camelid Research and Development (ISOCARD) charged, saying camels were being made culprits for a man-made problem.
“We believe that the good-hearted people and innovating nation of Australia can come up with better and smarter solutions than eradicating camels in inhumane ways,” it said.
The kill-a-camel suggestion is floated in a paper distributed by Australia’s Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, as part of consultations for reducing the country’s carbon footprint.
The scheme is the brainchild of an Adelaide-based commercial company, Northwest Carbon, a land and animal management consultancy, which proposes whacking feral camels in exchange for carbon credits.
Hopefully Dr. Hansen will be held accountable in this life and the next one for the insanity he has spent his life pushing.

Unemployment is up almost 50% since Obama got the nomination in Sept. 2008, when he started telling everyone for the next six months that the economy was a disaster and that only he could fix it.
