Fifth Foal

Last night was quite the wildlife evening. I saw a fox catch a prairie dog, and watched six baby ducks and their mother chase off a pelican. Unfortunately I did not get the camera out in time for either one.

Control Of The Past

“no event is ever correctly reported in a newspaper, but in Spain for the first time I saw newspaper reports which did not bear any relation to the facts.”

George Orwell

We are living out Orwell’s 1984 now. NOAA officially ignores tornado records prior to 1950. Hansen has cooled the 1930s into an average decade. Mann has erased the MWP, Newsweek makes no attempt to tell the truth, ever. Time Magazine uses Joe Romm as their primary source.

The key to controlling the masses with CO2 fear is to convince them that Earth never used to have bad weather. The strategy is working in Australia.

CLIMATE change sceptics are an endangered species in Australia, a national survey shows.

The survey of almost 3100 Australians found 74 per cent believe the world’s climate is changing.

When asked a different question about the causes of climate change, which removed the reference to personal beliefs, 90 per cent of respondents said human activity was a factor.

Just five per cent said climate change was entirely caused by natural processes.

Overall, less than six per cent of respondents could reasonably be classified as true climate change sceptics, the study by Griffith University researchers found.

Global Warming Making California HotColdWetDry

Researcher says climate change may be cooling California

By: By Matt Weiser

Published: Sat, 06/04

Spring passed California by, and summer remains in hiding.

Nine tornadoes have torn up the Sacramento Valley from Oroville to Fairfield. A giant Sierra snowpack, still frozen fast, has put innumerable summer adventures on hold.

The Golden State’s weather has gone haywire.

And it’s not over yet: Sacramento can expect as much as another 1.4 inches of rain this weekend and temperatures 20 degrees below normal, with more mountain snow.

“It’s what I call global weirding,” said Bill Patzert, a climatologist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. “This has been a very strange year all over the planet.”

What’s going on?

Global Warming Impacts in California

Losses to the Sierra snowpack and water supply. The Sierra Nevada snowpack functions as the most important natural reservoir of water in California. Under current conditions, the snowpack is created in fall and winter and slowly releases about 15 million acre-feet of water in the spring and summer, when California needs it most. California’s dams and water storage facilities are built to handle the snow melt as it happened in the past. Higher temperatures are now causing the snowpack to melt earlier and all at once. Earlier and larger releases of water could overwhelm California’s water storage facilities, creating risk of floods and water shortages.

Farming Zones Of Greenland

In preparation for a flood of climate refugees, Greenland has mapped out farming zones which will be needed to accommodate the millions of people who will soon be moving there. Leading scientists expect the temperature to warm by 10C over the next few decades, which will turn Greenland into the breadbasket of the planet.
