The Great Depression Was Caused By Inadequate Propaganda

if we had our news media of today back in the days of Herbert Hoover we would have never had a Depression, because it woulda never been reported as a depression.

No Data Required …….

Now comes the report of the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program, an organization which, as its name implies, monitors and assesses the impact of climate on the Arctic Ocean, Greenland and other far north entities. Those scientists say the ice of the Greenland ice cap is melting far faster than scientists originally predicted; so fast, in fact, that global sea levels could rise by as much as 5 feet by the end of this century.

Such an increase might not impact Wisconsin too badly but it could turn Florida into the lost land of Atlantis.

At current rates of sea level rise in Florida, it will take almost a thousand years to rise five feet.

Obama 100% Certain About Global Warming

President Obama told CBS’ 60 Minutes he was no more than 55% certain that Osama bin Laden was even inside a Pakistan compound when he ordered the raid that led to the death of the al Qaeda terrorist leader a week ago.

http://content.usatoday.com

Right….. The house was under continual surveillance for six months and Osama never left once. He’s only certain about things that come out of computer models.

Panetta told Time magazine that analysts were only 60 percent to 80 percent confident that bin Laden would be found.

EPA Says Declining Spring Snowpack In Oregon Is Proof Of Global Warming

http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/

So we can infer once again that the EPA has no idea what they are talking about.

It’s endless winter at Mt. Bachelor with record snowfall into May

By this time of year, most right-thinking people have forgotten about snow. But 22 miles outside of Bend, Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort recently surpassed its all-time record for seasonal snowfall, which was 606 inches. At press time, the current total stands at 633 inches — and counting. Compare that with the average snowfall: 387 inches.

Giving Credit Where Credit Is Due

George Bush Jr. was the driving force behind the US taking out Saddam’s regime and the Taliban. He brought the reality that democracy is possible to much of the Muslim world. And he was responsible for the fact that Osama died a decrepit, nearly invisible old man – who hadn’t left the house for five years and was reduced to complaining about global warming in his last message.

What exactly did Obama do, besides take credit and interrupt Trump’s show?

Bush sets sights on Mid-East freedom
By Marian Wilkinson, Herald Correspondent in Washington and agencies
November 7, 2003

Under pressure over the rising insurgency in Iraq, President George Bush is calling on Americans to support a new vision of “freedom” in the Middle East that makes a break with six decades of US policy of supporting autocratic regimes.

Mr Bush’s National Security Adviser, Condoleezza Rice, said that in a speech Mr Bush was to make yesterday he would promote “the new opportunity for a forward strategy for freedom in the Middle East”.

His call is being compared with president Ronald Reagan’s appeal to eastern Europe in 1983 to abandon communism.

Dr Rice said: “After 60 years of trying to find stability through regimes that were not devoted to political liberty for their people, what we found is that we did not buy security of stability but rather frustration and pent-up emotions in a region that has fallen behind in terms of prosperity and in fact continues to produce ideologies of hatred.”

Mr Bush was due to deliver his speech to mark the 20th anniversary of the National Endowment for Democracy.

Science In Wonderland

Here’s what the numbers say about Charlotte’s birds: They’re moving north as temperatures warm. Eighteen of the 20 most common backyard species spotted last Dec. 27 have shifted their winter ranges northward over the past 40 years, national data show. The average distance was 116 miles.

According to NCDC, temperatures last December in North Carolina were the second coldest on record. North Carolina was 18 degrees cooler than December, 1956.

Polls show Americans are increasingly dubious about global warming, even as most climate scientists say they’re ever more sure that it’s real. Oblivious to science and politics, Carolina wrens and cedar waxwings seem to signal climate change with their wings.

The drop in temperatures over the last decade has convinced them.

The evidence is firmest in North Carolina on the coast, where a state science panel expects a 1-meter increase in sea level by 2100 and beach towns are scrambling to save eroding strands.

Sea level hasn’t risen in Wilmington, NC for 40 years.

Charlotte’s birds are among the hints of statewide shifts as temperatures inch higher. The tendency is northward and upward: stonefly nymphs moving higher up mountain streams; coastal frogs croaking in Piedmont backyards; tropical fish cruising the temperate coast.

Sea surface temperatures are below normal along 80% of the US shoreline.

You Don’t Need To Be A Rocket Scientist To Work At NASA

There are other more unusual pieces of compelling evidence, such as the fact that the atmosphere above the troposphere — the part where our weather doesn’t really exist, which we call the stratosphere — is systematically cooling. It’s very difficult to explain that cooling except from the ways in which we’re altering the carbon dioxide concentrations in our atmosphere, which we believe are leading to the warming that we see.

http://climate.nasa.gov

The stratosphere cooled in two steps after large volcanic eruptions. What does that have to do with CO2?
