California is banning sales of gasoline powered vehicles, and says everybody has to drive an electric car.  They also say they don’t have enough electricity to supply their current needs.

California also says that purchasing a $40,000 electric car can save people $320 per year, so the car will pay for itself in only 125 years.

“While electric cars currently cost more than a gas-powered car, savings on gas and maintenance could end up saving car owners an estimated $3,200 over ten years”

Except for the fact the battery wears out and then costs another $13,000 to replace.

I drive a Honda CRV with 300,000 miles which I purchased for $2,000.  It takes about three minutes to refill at any one of the 150,000 gas stations in the US.

On June 13, 1953 it was 123F in India and people were dying by the hundreds. In Oklahoma it was 111F in Oklahoma and streets were exploding in the heat.
