GISS shows temperatures rising sharply since July. We have been having a record cold La Niña since then, and everyone else shows temperatures plummeting.
GISS also showed a huge spike in March which nobody else saw. Does this have anything to do with Hansen’s constant claims of 2010 as the hottest year ever? He shows peak La Niña temperatures almost as warm as peak El Niño temperatures. That is simply ridiculous.

GISS is not credible.
GISS shows Africa hot. RSS shows Africa generally cool. GISS shows the Beaufort Sea more than 4C above normal. RSS shows the Beaufort Sea about 2C above normal. GISS has very few thermometers in either of those places.
GISS shows all of Russia very hot. RSS shows large parts of Russia normal.
Hansen has made it clear for months that he wants 2010 to be the hottest year ever.
GISS extrapolation shows much of the high Arctic 4-10C above normal for November, while DMI below (which has actual thermometers) shows November close to normal – for the same baseline 1958-2002.

Looking at the 250km GISS map below, it is easy to see what the problem is. They don’t have any actual data north of 80N. They make up most of their high Arctic temperatures.
Similar problems at the South Pole.
NOAA showed most of November far below normal temperatures across Antarctica.

The scope of this report is purely global in nature – vis. “Annual average temperatures drop by up to 5 degrees Fahrenheit over Asia and North America and 6 degrees Fahrenheit in northern Europe”, which encompasses the Northern Hemisphere and “Annual average temperatures increase by up to 4 degrees Fahrenheit in key areas throughout Australia, South America, and southern Africa”, which encompasses the Southern Hemisphere. Indeed, it is the other way around. Only southern Europe and northern Africa are not mentioned, and believe me, with the rest of the world affected, these areas will be affected as well.
Record lows are outpacing record highs by more than ten to one. Using Rommulan logic, that proves global cooling.

Estimates of Earth’s climate sensitivity are uncertain, largely because of uncertainty in the long-term cloud feedback. I estimated the magnitude of the cloud feedback in response to short-term climate variations by analyzing the top-of-atmosphere radiation budget from March 2000 to February 2010. Over this period, the short-term cloud feedback had a magnitude of 0.54 ± 0.74 (2?) watts per square meter per kelvin, meaning that it is likely positive. A small negative feedback is possible
