Somerville, Oreskes Refuse To Debate Fred Singer

Fred Singer offered to debate Richard Somerville and Naomi Oreskes in January in San Diego. Both declined. Oreskes said she didn’t want to debate someone “with a known record of promoting public misrepresentation of science.”

Richard Somerville works in La Jolla and claims that sea level is rising “at the high end of forecasts.” This in spite of the fact that the beach outside his office has shown little  visible change in sea level over the last 140 years – as seen in the animation below.

NYT : Getting Dumb And Dummerer

Some idiot builds a house on a cliff made of soft sediment, next to the ocean, a few miles away from the San Andreas Fault – and the NYT blames their plight on global warming.

Sea level hasn’t changed near San Francisco for at least 25 years. Going back to 1850 it might have risen six inches.

Will There Be Enough Death Trains This Winter?

Pierre Gosselin reports on extreme cold headed for Europe.

Hopefully there are still enough of Hansen’s “coal death trains” around to prevent too many people freezing to death this winter. Governments have been working hard to replace coal with imaginary energy sources.

“US climate scientists fight back”

The fight is on. After a year of attacks, climate scientists in America today launch a new website aimed at closing the gap between scientific knowledge and public understanding of global warming.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/nov/22/us-climate-scientists-fight-back

Just as record cold sweeps across North America and Europe, climate scientists redouble their efforts to prove that the world is warming out of control. They must have hired a top notch marketing expert for this idea.

Death is certain before the year 2035 2350. It is voodoo science to believe otherwise.

California Orange Crop Freezes While Arnie Busy Solving Global Warming

Freeze Coming to California Orange Groves

The stormy, snowy weather pattern underway in the West will culminate with a mid- to late-week freeze over California’s San Joaquin Valley, home to many orange groves.

Temperatures over the lower part of the valley, where most of the groves are located, will dip into the middle 20s at the core of the cold air.

The cold will challenge record low temperatures in the region which are generally in the upper 20s to near 30 degrees. Lows this time of the year tend to average near 40 degrees.

The lowest temperatures are forecast to occur late Wednesday night into Thanksgiving Day morning, when several hours of below-freezing temperatures can occur in areas between Porterville and Bakersfield.

Oranges are still maturing over the southern San Joaquin Valley and are far from harvest as of late November 2010.

According to Agricultural Meteorologist Dale Mohler, “Low temperatures in some of the groves may dip as low as 24 degrees Thursday morning.”

This is November of Hansen’s “hottest year ever.” What will winter be like?

Climate Superstition Is As Old As The Human Race

New high priests. Same superstition. Same old story. Your behaviour is causing the climate to misbehave. Repent or die.

The only difference with the current superstition is that this time there is no evidence – outside of some computer models and a nature trick.
