The World Loves Obama

He told us that all we needed to do was bow, make friends with foreign dictators, constantly apologize for everything, cut back our carbon emissions, and shut down Guantanamo. That must be why he needs to bring 34 warships to travel outside the US.

The Virginia Triangle

? “Virginia is for Warmers”  ?

Yet another location near Washington D.C. where USHCN has converted a cooling trend into a warming trend.

Like Lincoln, Dale Enterprise VA shows a steep cooling trend (blue line) after 1990. And also like Lincoln, USHCN has flipped the cooling trend into a warming trend (red line.)

The graph below a similar “adjustment” made for Lincoln, Virginia.

Racism In The 1960s

A favorite argument of 1960s racists to block integrated neighborhoods went like this :

“We can’t say that this particular crime was committed by minorities, but as more minorities move into the neighborhood we predict that these types of crimes will increase – and the neighborhood will eventually become unlivable.”

Sound familiar? Completely irrational thinking and an identical analogy to the claims of climate alarmists about CO2.

No evidence is required. Simply blame the target of your prejudice.

More USHCN Comedy in D.C.

As if the Lincoln, Virginia USHCN comedy wasn’t enough fun, this story gets even better. The next closest station to Washington D.C. is at Fredericksburg, Virginia, about 50 km to the south.

Like Lincoln, the USHCN Fredericksburg adjusted graph shows steady warming since the 1960s. In fact it shows almost identical warming to Lincoln.

But there is something a little different about the Fredericksburg graph of raw data. Can you spot it below?

Scientists pollute global warming study
By Drew Landis | Daily Lobo

Let me first say that my goal in writing this is neither to support nor refute global warming.

I am not trying to push a pro-con global warming agenda, and I am not interested in trying to prove whether it is man-made or natural. Rather, I intend to use global warming as a case study and show how, through the global-warming issue, science has become convoluted, controversial, confusing and, ultimately, bastardized.

My aim is to encourage scientists and those concerned about the world (most specifically current students) to produce good science and encourage others to produce good science.

As a whole, science has been hurt by the global-warming issue, because when society sees the faults in a minority of scientists, they arrive at the conclusion that all scientists (and thus all science) could be equally flawed. I am not picking out global warming scientists as a homogenous organization, but instead picking one small group that I fault.

Hiding The Decline In Washington DC

The closest USHCN station to Washington is at Lincoln, Virginia. Since the mid-1990s, the thermometers say that Lincoln has cooled about three degrees (blue below) – while USHCN carefully adjusts the temperatures in the opposite direction. Note that the adjusted (red) trend is up by two degrees since the mid-1990s.

Thanks to the excellent work of our top scientists, we can actually reverse the naughty behaviour of  anti-science thermometers.
