We Have Already Passed The Tipping Point

Warmers warn us of tipping points in the future if we don’t change our evil ways. They are a little late, because other religious groups have been there/done that already.

Genesis 6:5 The LORD saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.

That is why 10:10 feels the need to snuff out children who don’t think proper thoughts.

Genesis 7:23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

10:10 wants only the righteous to survive.

The problem is, we have already passed the tipping point. It occurred somewhere between 1880 and 1900, as you can see very clearly in the stone tablet below.

News Flash – Life At The Poles Is Tough

Male Emperor Penguins go for three months without eating – in -70 degree weather with 100 mph winds – while carrying an egg which if they drop will grow up to be socially dysfunctional. If their wife is one day late hauling the groceries back across the ice, the kid dies.

Somehow, I don’t think their tough lifestyle is our fault.

Living Inside Their Own Heads

This is what our friends imagine the Arctic looks like. Full of poor, starving, depressed  creatures with bearly enough energy to move – trapped inside an eternal summer of hellish temperatures brought on by evil humans and their SUVs.

The picture below is what it actually looks like in Barrow today.

How Long Can They Keep It Up?

Last year, Kevin Trenberth famously asked the hockey team “where the heck is global warming?”  “The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t.”

They obviously know things are not going as planned, but they keep hanging on based on the idea that at some point something magical will happen and the climate will collapse. Temperatures will start shooting up, sea level will rise more than 8 inches (we have all told that story before) Polar Bears will actually start getting skinny, Cheetahs and Giraffes will move to Finland, etc.

At some point, they are just going to have to give it up and move on.

BTW – what kind of guy tells the 3-6 metre story? That seems a bit over the top.

Chelsea 2 – Arsenal 0

The Alex goal was one of the finest shots I have ever seen.

Nothing anyone could have done to stop that rocket.

Sea Level Change in La Jolla Over the Last 140 Years

I’ve been going to the beach in La Jolla, California for more than half a century. The beach there hasn’t changed a bit. The animation above shows how little change has occurred since 1871.

First time I went there, Rachel Welch was the high school homecoming queen. The image below is an optical illusion. If you stare at it long enough, you might see a beach.

An Exercise in Just How Clueless They Are

John Cook claims that there is a 40 Year Delay Between Cause and Effect when it comes to CO2

Let’s put that theory to the test.

No Correlation Between Sea Level And Atmospheric CO2

Average sea level rise has been very steady for the last 100 years at about 2 mm/year, which is comparable to the rise recorded by CU over the last five years. That is at least 15-30X too low to reach Dr. Hansen’s 3-6 metre estimate – shown in green.

Farewell To Summer

We had the best summer in years here along the Front Range, but it is fading fast. There is a big blast of cold air headed across the entire US next week.
