Looks like a beautiful day in the Maldives.
In 1988, authorities said the Maldives would be underwater by 2018, and they would run out of fresh water by 1992.
26 Sep 1988 – Threat to islands
Experts now say the Maldives will be underwater and run out of fresh water within decades.
Most low-lying atoll islands are likely to become uninhabitable by the middle of the century, according to a new study.
Scientists predict that as sea levels rise, thousands of islands will be afflicted by frequent flooding, lack of freshwater and damage to infrastructure.
The difference between now and 200 years ago, is that scientists 200 years ago actually knew something about science. They were aware in 1837 that coral reefs are dynamic and come and go on their own.
ACCOUNT OF THE MALDIVES.
Hobart Town Courier Friday 17 February 1837, page 4
The natives observe the atolls to be wasting away; in some the cocoanut trees are standing in the water ; in another the black soil of the island is discernible at low water thirty feet from the beach ; the south-east side of an island in Phaidee Pholo Atoll is entirely gone, but is marked by a banyan tree in the water. They say that some islands have disappeared entirely.
Some of the outer edges of the islands have fallen into the sea, which is fathomless in those parts. It is, however, acknowledged that reefs, have arisen from the water and gradually formed islands ; and the inhabitants of Male remember the outer edge of a circular reef in their harbour to have had two fathoms in the shoalest part, which is now dry at low water.’

Update : Anthony Watts spoke with Ryan Maue, and Ryan said he was just trolling Michael Mann and didn’t really believe what he was saying. Yet these tweets don’t show any indication of sarcasm and were retweeted by Greta Thunberg – and seen by at least three million people. Anthony asked him to delete his tweets, and Ryan has not done that. I hid this post for a few hours to give Ryan a chance to try to set the record straight, but he hasn’t done anything.
No one seems to know what the real story is with this. Bizarre .. to say the least.
“Green energy” is the name Nobel Laureate Barack Obama used to steal taxpayer money and give it to his campaign donors. Nobel Laureate Al Gore benefited tremendously from this scheme.
Solyndra Scandal | Full Coverage of Failed Solar Startup – The Washington Post
The Obama administration interfered with the 2010 US elections, by pushing Solyndra to cover up critical financial information until after election day.
CNN reported on this as “no scandals during the Obama administration.”
One hundred Congressional Democrats believe the world will end in eleven years. This is how the crisis is looking from New Mexico and Colorado. It is so bad, the leaves are falling off the trees.
Boulder is set to obliterate cold records again this week.

Trenberth’s supercomputers for his climate models run in Wyoming, where fossil fuel powered electricity is much cheaper than NCAR could purchase in Colorado, due to green energy taxes.
Fortunately, Boulder is powered by clean, reliable natural gas – which will keep the Extinction Rebellion protesters from freezing to death.
