Scientists also know that hypothermia and frostbite are symptoms of heat stress.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

All I have seen is sea temperatures “dropped below average”, well temperatures are never average.
Does any one know the actual temperature the sea was?
The SST’s for SE England are around 6 – 7 degrees C.

This story has already been smacked down. Alice in Wonderland: global warming leads to frozen crabs. What utter and complete rubbish.
Joe Bastardi tweet, 1/8/11,
“Brutal cold coming this week much of the nation, but thaw starts in west by 15th, reaches plains around 20th and east after that”

This cold was brought up by Steven Goddard 6 days ago

Yea, it is going to be here in a few hours. Back to my mountain bike …….
Two million fish were found dead in the Chesapeake Bay and apparently they died of “cold stress”. The official Manatee death count in Florida for 2010 was 767, of which around 500 were attributed to cold. In 2009 there were 429 dead, total. And in 1998 (a truly warm year) only 282 died, of which 10 were counted as “cold stress”.
Maybe Joe Romm should travel to Florida explain to the manatees and the Florida Fish & Wildlife folks where they are mistaken about species disappering due to cooling, during the “hottest year on record”.
Mr. Romm might enjoy the next 2 mornings of near freezing weather this week here in the southern most state of the United States. I know I won’t.
