23 Childrens’ Worst Nightmare

In the middle of the night, people swoop down into your house from helicopters, shoot your mother, capture your father and then shoot him in the head in front of you.

Those 23 children are the spawn of Osama Bin Laden, and are going to grow up with an incredible burning hatred for the US. Just another present which Obama leaves for the next generation to deal with.

But the good news is that Obama was able to interrupt Trump’s show and get a little bump in the polls.

  1. Tony Duncan says:

    Steve,

Wow, you have finally joined those radical leftist who worry about the causes of problems, Now you can do your amazing historical digging and pull up all the incidents where this applies. The Socialist Workers Party is always looking for good researchers. Amazing. You guys now care about the poor and american militarism. Pointing out the contradictions of the running dog capitalists can’t be far behind

    • If you continue making pointless comments I am going to relegate you to spam.

      • Tony Duncan says:

        AWW Steve,

But Anthony promised me that if I stayed off his site I could play here FOREVER!

But you are right how could I ever hope to find a similar sentiment to your post on any left wing source. They have always said that American killing of foreigners has no negative impact on how outsiders perceive the US.

    • Luke of the D says:

Mr. Duncan, you do so continue to amuse me, sir! I do have to ask though, why for does Mr. Watts (if that is indeed the Anthony you refer to) banning you from his site matter here on Mr. Goddard’s? Where is the connection?

      • Tony Duncan says:

        Luke,

You have caught me out sir. Mr. Watts has never heard from me, though I am guessing he would be just as irritated (though he would more likely just have cut me off) as Steve gets at me.
I was pretending to be a serial troll, though no one here has ever accused me of that particular offense

      • suyts says:

Luke, Tony has the misconception that skeptics are born from the same mother. That we are mostly ideologues, engaging only to further our cause. It is a common, but errant misconception. It is also, a common tactic employed by warmists.

Anthony, while not as tolerant as Steve, is very accommodating. There are some lines one can cross that will put one in “time out” over there, but its easy to see why, when it occurs. (Personally, I don’t agree with it, but it isn’t my blog.)

Tony should visit WUWT to understand the diversity of the people engaged in the skeptical community, but that would destroy his world view. So…… it’s easier to stay here and make assumptions than to be confronted with reality. Its odd that he doesn’t seem to pick up on the diversity here, but he doesn’t. Some people are more perceptive than others.

That said, Tony’s a good guy. And, at times, a good challenge. He’s well informed, as are many of the warmists that come here.

      • Tony Duncan says:

        SUYTS,

You made me blush. I have visited WUWT quite a few times. just never commented. Although I may have once or twice, I can’t be certain

And I do see some diversity here. In fact I criticize the lack of hashing out among that diversity. There is at least one left winger who is anti ACC, PaulH if I recall correctly, and I find I often agree with Andy about some issues and on logical matters.

  2. Dan says:

You think that was bad? Just imagine the fallout from the end of Kill Bill 2.

  3. Dizzy Ringo says:

With 23 children, just how likely is it that he was spending the last 10 years moving from cave to cave……

    • Dan says:

I think it has been established that at least for the last 6 years he was in this compound.

      • Tony Duncan says:

You guys are missing the point. Steve has discovered this new idea. Killing people makes other people unhappy with you!

      • Dan says:

At the risk of ruining the levity of these posts….

With extremists you are damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Violence does beget violence, but showing restraint is taken as weakness.

      • suyts says:

I agree with Dan. Our western society doesn’t have a good vehicle to deal with those lunatics. I’m glad the SOB is dead. I wish the administration had handled things differently. But, details are still emerging and I doubt we’ll ever get the whole unadulterated truth.

      • Latitude says:

        We’re such a funny people….
…we think everyone is watching Oprah and driving a Volvo

  4. Robert Austin says:

Maybe some of those children will understand that their dad masterminded the deaths of 3,000+ people and will understand the urge for revenge. And if you are one of 23, do you have the same attachment to your father as a typical western family? It seems like Osama’s father hardly knew he existed until he made a name for himself.

  5. Latitude says:

I don’t get any of it so far….
They told us that these are not real Islamist, but he gets a formal funeral.
We didn’t bomb the place because we needed proof, yet there’s no proof just their
    word for it.
The intelligence was gathered under Bush, but we need to stop that and close it.
We’re going to release the pictures, no we’re not.
We’re just going to pass the pictures around for everyone else to see.
We knew he was there 7 months ago, but it was the right time, even though he could have left at any time.
It’s a million dollar mansion, no it’s not, at most $250,000
He hid behind women, no just his wife, ok so he didn’t hide behind anyone.
He was armed, no weapons on the whole place, no he wasn’t.
We watched it on a live feed, no we didn’t.
I was a shoot out/fire fight, ok so no it wasn’t.
We had to wait to spike the ball when Trump’s show was on.

    …it’s all Bush’s fault

    • suyts says:

I think that’s a fair synopsis so far. Its very disappointing. An event that should have united this nation with a sense of accomplishment and justice has divided and caused scorn.

  6. Al Gored says:

Its bigger than that. They have just created the new ‘Jesus’ for the radical Muslims. This has all the elements needed for a mega-myth that will inspire people for generations. None of this was necessary. Somebody wants more chaos. That should be obvious by what else is going on.

And with this cover story, and ending, it is guaranteed to never die. Great news for the military-police-industrial complex!

  7. Latitude says:

    …and on a happier note

    Canada just went conservative

  8. Andy Weiss says:

If this thing could have been done quietly, great. The man was a mass murderer and deverved to die. But making a huge jingoistic circus and dancing all over Osama’s grave for political purposes can only inspire more hatred and terrorism. It isn’t going to bring back the 3,000 dead people and may lead to a lot more dead people.

Why do that unnecessarily? Osama is only one person and not all that important in the greater scheme of things, except to inspire the next generation of terrorists with the circumstances surrounding his death.

  9. omnologos says:

This episode could be used to re-evaluate “Mission Accomplished”.

As for Osama’s children, I just hope that like Idi Amin’s, their father’s story will convince them to just get on with a normal life.

  10. Philip Finck says:

Maybe the US should have just dropped a big bomb on the compound and then another one on the military training camp. It would have cut the cost delivery ratio by 1/2 and eliminated 2 problems at the same time. Actually on CNN they asked, “What to do with Pakistan now”. I suggested to my wife that several very large nukes would be appropriate. Good god, and I’m a Canadian!

  11. Philip Finck says:

23 future terrorists. The solution to that should have been obvious ….. and the wives …. no doubt they will work dillegently to replace the little hoard so the solution was also obvious.

  12. It's always Marcia, Marcia says:

The concern over how the Middle East will react to any move America makes is an exercise in futility. There is no move America can make except acquiesce to their Sharia that will appease them and stop their terrorism.

  13. Sundance says:

Thank goodness Obama didn’t waterboared ULB before he shot him! The Progressive Dems would have been outraged and asking for a criminal investigation.

  14. Geoff Stone says:

    Steven
I couldn’t agree with you more. Regardless of Bin Laden’s crimes, it is outrageous how the US acted. A country that supposedly prides itself on the rule of law and justice has acted like a common gangster. This is the next step on the slippery slope to dictatorship in the USA. In effect no one outside the USA is safe anymore from drone attack or hit squads. How long before the US president gives himself the right to assassinate/murder American citizens in their own beds ?

    • Tony Duncan says:

      Geoff,

Yup. The US has never done ANYTHING this bad before. It is because of that war monger Obama and this horrible raid. And if Bush had killed Osama I am sure Steve would have been just as outraged

      • Luke of the D says:

If Bush had assassinated Osama in this manner, I think it would have played out exactly the same. Bush was no good guy… remember the Patriot Act? Talk about destroying freedoms. No, Mr. Duncan, Mr. Stone is correct… murder is murder and is not justice, no matter who was murdered. It should have been “capture at all cost” then we put him on trial and excite him (he would definitely been found guilty). That is right. That is just. And you cannot deny that sir. I actually like you Mr. Duncan, so please don’t say you deny that truth.

      • Tony Duncan says:

        Luke,

I agree absolutely. if I was not rather cynical I wool deb rather upset about it. I was VERY upset about it under Bush, and I was screaming at the top of my lungs to conservatives – “But what about when Hillary is President. Are you going to be happy when SHE can do as she pleases.” Hardly any one on the right listened, and it happened very easily. I STILL don’t understand why conservatives do not worry about Obama’s surveillance powers, and powers to designate anyone he wants a enemy combatant.
There were conservatives who opposed Bush like napolitano, Barr, and a few others, but most just said we needed it for national security. Those democrats who used this issue against Bush and now say nothing are opportunistic hypocrites.
