They tried to claim that warm air holds more moisture.
Warm air could only come up from the south.
They then tried to claim that Gulf/Caribbean waters were warm, without thinking anyone would check that out.
No one bothers to check anything out. The name of the game is throw it against the wall and hope that it sticks.
