Obama Heroics

For the past seven months, Obama has known Osama’s location, which is why he has been bombing civilians in their homes in other locations in Pakistan as recently as two weeks ago.

Recognizing the importance of capturing Osama alive, Obama made the brave choice to risk American lives – rather than just bombing Osama’s house. Obama accidentally forgot to equip the American troops with stun grenades, tasers or tear gas, so they had to shoot Osama in the head and then dump his body in the ocean give him a proper Muslim burial. Assassination is of course a more sensible approach than a civilian jury trial – which Obama insisted on for terrorists as recently as two weeks ago.

Bravely watching from the White House, Obama was fearful when the helicopter went down that this was going to turn into another Jimmy Carter Tehran fustercluck. (What would that do to his poll numbers?) Fortunately, the Pakistani military located a few blocks away didn’t intervene during a 45 minute firefight.

After his office heroics, Obama decided to wait until Trump’s show to go on television and take credit.

Had the mission failed, of course it would have been listed as just a few more casualties on a secret mission in the ongoing war on terror. What a hero.

lmao! I heard, as they were stepping on his head and face with their boots, they forced him to ingest pig’s blood, right before they killed him………….. well, that’s what I heard anyway!

    • NoMoreGore says:

Muslims would call it desecration, but It would work. Tell them we’re going to feed their bodies to pigs and watch all these bloodthirsty killers get cold feet. The fantasy of 76 virgins is the only thing keeping them going. Take that away, and whaddya got?

      • suyts says:

Yes, we should have made sure he wasn’t put to rest down in accordance to any of their customs and displayed it for the world to see.

    Bravo sir! Bravo!

  3. It's always Marcia, Marcia says:

As the dust settles and people have time to think, how people felt about it is changing. The President may lose the good feelings people had about his part. Those memories are already fading because no photos yet. If the economy doesn’t improve, or goes down, by time election comes, he could lose. The President needs new PR people.

    • Luke of the D says:

Very very true… err… sir or madam? Forgive me… Marcia is not a familiar name to me. His PR is truly abysmal (not that I mind, I certainly didn’t vote for the Gangsta’).

I think you captured the essence of the operation quite nicely, Steve!

  5. Latitude says:

    You’re right…

Osama has always moved around a lot, at least that’s what we have been told.

For him to stay in one spot like that is totally out of character.

For the president/military to know about it for that long, and not do anything.
Says there’s a lot going on that we don’t know………

    • Phil. says:

Predator drone attacks in Pakistan have made moving around the countryside more dangerous, hence the building of a fortress near a major city and military establishment.

He’s a real hero. Now we know who still wears the Mommy pants.

I’ve read first hand at liberal blogs that many folks believe that Obama is a lock for 2012 because “he” got UBL. Yet this is not translating to a bump in his job approval as the Rasmussen, Gallup and CNN May 2 polls came out today, and showed a meager 1% or 2% bump in job approval rating and all still below 50%.

    • No doubt getting UBL was the #1 issue in the country – 10 years ago.

….May 2 polls came out today, and showed a meager 1% or 2% bump in job approval rating and all still below 50%….

This is blaring. On Sunday night I was expecting something like a 20-30% jump. In my most pessimistic guess I would not have said only 1-2%. I underestimated how turned off America is with Barrack Obama. It will require a miracle for him to win November, 2012. He best get those photos out to the public. Each hour that passes should make the bad taste of Obama memories over the last 2 1/2 years get worse.

Just think, Obama has 20 months to be worse than Jimmy Carter.

His problem is three-fold in this regard. I suspect many are like me. I’m glad the SOB is dead. I’m glad he got it up close and personal. But for anyone that’s tried to keep up, UBL didn’t seem all that relevant in the Al-Qaeda camp any longer, so his killing was only symbolic.

As Steve has pointed out, this action is entirely inconsistent with B.O. the candidate.(And even as recent as a couple of weeks ago.) Oddly enough, some people still base their decisions on what a candidate says without looking for clues towards his character. So, any bump in his ratings from this action will be negated, in part, because of this action. Most of us would rather have a president we can believe. The only thing that we can be sure of regarding B.O.’s stances are that he’s for getting himself re-elected. This thought isn’t only articulated in conservative venues, it is also on liberal venues. (He’s not nearly as green as he said he’d be!) Ah, the refreshing slap of reality! Which leads us to his third problem…..

Me, myself and I. He took a lot of credit for this action. In his address he used words like “my national security team” when he could have easily substituted “my” for “the”. This isn’t new, one speech he gave, he referenced himself over 130 times! Americans like people who are humble in victory. B.O. is not. Another reality is, while he can try to take credit all he wants, the American public knows his entire contribution to this effort was to state, “Okay”. UBL wasn’t a military issue, he wasn’t a political issue. He was an issue the U.S. as a whole, spanning though several years, dealt with. Most of us aware people recall him as a heckler from the crowd shouting, “you’re doing it wrong!” from the balcony seats. In the end, it was the same principles, tactics and strategy employed by his predecessor that was used to kill UBL. Indeed, it is becoming clear that it was dependent upon those same principles, tactics and strategy that caused this to occur.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad he said “okay”. He probably said “okay” as well as any of the preceding presidents. He’s a great sayer of “okay”! (My accolade to the POTUS!)

For those uncomfortable about how this action occurred, I am, too. But this nation for many years has seen the necessity of such actions. It is one of the reason some agencies exist.

That is likely why his location was given up, and he wasn’t warned. The police in that city certainly heard the helicopters land and the gun fire. That military base was only 1-2 minutes away. But they didn’t show up.

A typical night in that country. Just another spat between drug dealers!

    • Phil. says:

Obama’s approval ratings have gone up ~11% to ~57% in today’s polls, Gallup’s May 2nd poll was taken over Fri-Sun, before the announcement of the mission. Even Fox acknowledged that ‘bump’ in their morning program.

  8. Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

decided to wait until Trump’s show to go on television

This maneuver shows how small minded Obama is.

I am certain that right now Trump is brewing on the jokes from Saturday night and just how dirty Obama fights. Obama knows nothing about hitting above the belt. Trump (if he is really going to run) may be reaccessing how hard he thought it was going to be, and how dirty his opponent is going to fight. He may also be thinking about if it’s worth leaving the life of a billionaire and may decide t he’d rather be with his hot, supermodel wife, and fun tv show.

  9. Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

I think the reason this was unlike what we’ve seen Obama be like is that he’s on the campaign trail now.

  10. Al Gored says:

    If this was a movie…

Of course, the powers that be would never toy with us like this, would they?

    So… what’s the next act?
