“The West’s snow resources are already declining as the climate warms”

Peer review strikes again, as the west prepares for flooding from excess snowpack.

DECLINING MOUNTAIN SNOWPACK
IN WESTERN NORTH AMERICA*
BY PHILIP W. MOTE, ALAN F. HAMLET, MARTYN P. CLARK, AND DENNIS P. LETTENMAIE

only a small fraction of the variance of precipitation is explained by any of the Pacific climate indices, and, more importantly, the widespread and fairly monotonic increases in temperature exceed what can be explained by Pacific climate variability and are consistent with the global pattern of anthropogenic temperature increases.

  1. Mike Davis says:

Only the “Right” combination of controlled substances can explain the results in that research paper! It seems they shared “stuff” with their Peers to get the proper review.

    • Just confirmation bias. They assumed that the low snow years were due to CO2, and then concluded that as CO2 increased the snow would continue to decrease. No science was performed in the making of this paper.

  2. Jimbo says:

More co2 means more and less snow. You should know this Mr Goddard.

  3. Andy Weiss says:

    NOTICE TO LIBERAL DEMOCRATS

Global warming has now been officially replaced with “climate change”, which means any bad weather of any kind. And any bad weather is man’s fault. Especially the fault of greedy, straight, white Republican males. Everyone else is a victim of oppression and thus their CO2 doesn’t count as much.

I think it is great that you are finding these articles and making sure these scientists are exposed as the charlatans they are. Any way to send this reference to the major newspapers in Colorado and states west.
