Even those madcap models are having fits. Just over half have Debby doing Dallas and the Ensemble and GFS have it doing Daytona.
Will the IPCC declare the western hemisphere a disaster area?
Oops, Rio+20 has already weighed in on that…
Someone has a sense of humor at NOAA with the names. Too bad they don’t have a Linda, Marilyn and Bambi.
Looks to me like the hurricane folks are going to name every thunderstorm that occurs in the Atlantic basin this summer, and then scream in November about a record number of storms. Of course, those storms are clearly the result of the last 12 years of warming, Wait, there hasn’t been any warming in the past 12 years.! And most of the Atlantic basin water temps are at or below average. Could all these names be the result of better technology, and have nothing to do with AGW?
Somehow Chris became a hurricane at 40 N and 40 W. Hardly a tropical system.
Debbie has no clouds near its center. A tropical storm without clouds is the same as an emperor without clothes. A tropical system gets its energy from the release of latent heat. If you have no rain, you have no release of latent heat. If you have no clouds, you get no rain.
