think of the food miles and all the carbon needed to ship em:-)
    roflmao
and seeing as they are protected species there would be some big fines:-)
I swear the gaurdian green section and its devotees get stupider as time goes by:-)

  2. JFB says:

Must we send Guardian journalists first ?

    • JFB says:

Sorry. The correct question is: Should we send the Guardian Journalists first ?

      • I take it that’s a rhetorical question? Guardian journalists, like Pooh, are “bears of very little brain”, but send ’em anyway. Giving them a nice sealskin coat to keep out Hansen’s “extreme Arctic heat” should speed the final part of the process.

  3. Sundance says:

I like penguins. Can we feed Polar Bears with hippies and OWS members instead and then count it as carbon credit in California?

  4. mwhite says:

    Perhaps they send some badgers

  5. jay pelton says:

what a bunch of idiots – ask the people in Churchill Manitoba if there is a polar bear population crisis. what do these goofs think polar bears lived on during the medieval warm period – did they die off and then spontaneously reappear when the climate cooled again? if polar bears could laugh they surely would – I am truly weary of the higher purpose idiots that come up with this stuff

  6. Kaboom says:

I’m in favor of this proposal right after we run out of green activists to feed to the bears.

    • Andy OZ says:

That’s a cracker idea! Some sacrifices have to be made Kaboom. Perhaps Al Gore could start by sacrificing himself? We’ll all sing Kumbaya as he saves a polar bear from starvation.

Remember all the scare stories about Emperor Penguins in decline?

    2007
“The Emperor penguin, the largest and most majestic penguin in the world, has seen some of its colonies halved in size over the past half century.”
    http://wwf.panda.org/index.cfm?uNewsID=119060

    2012
“Emperor Penguin Numbers Double Previous Estimates”
    http://news.discovery.com/animals/emperor-penguins-antarctica-count-120413.html

This is why it pays to be sceptical.
