The Complete List of Obama’s Taxpayer-Backed Green Energy Failures
Obama must think know that most Democrats are complete imbeciles.
This is why our founders fought so hard for individual liberties, collectivism does not work. The federal government will be the death of our liberty once and for all.
@Gator: “The federal government will be the death of our liberty once and for all.”
Bang on. As Mark Steyn once said, “Big government is where successful nations go to die”.
This is an unwinnable argument – there are just too many numpties out there. The sooner that Obama gets on with his economic self-harm jihad, the sooner the country will be reduced to ashes – and hopefully a lot of the paranoid delusionals will freeze to death in the dark in the process, and the sooner something more worthwhile will rise from the ashes. It’s very hard to see a happy outcome from all this insanity.
Ivan – the problem is that many innocent ones will be taken along for the ride.
Innocent ones?
You mean the ones who sit on the sidelines and say “Oh – I don’t get involved in politics” and only start to whine when their level of personal comfort gets jolted a knotch or two?
Or is it the “innocent ones” that say, “I’m all for saving the planet. And even if this whole global warming thing isn’t for real – can it be a bad thing to clean up the environment a bit?”
No – I mean the children who are going to grow up and inherit this shithole of a mess. Is that difficult to see? I don’t give a toss about those who sit on the sidelines, or are “not interested in politics” or live in their their well-off complacent little world – they will get what they deserve, either by action or inaction.
Tough shit.
As far as I can see it is the kids of today who are the ones that are the most outspoken in support of all this “saving the planet” bullshit. They are the ones that are going to (justly) inherit a shithole of their own making.
If you can’t see this, then maybe you should get out a bit more.
I just spent the day looking after 5 kids between 7 and 14 – these, and younger, are the ones being taken for a ride. Just who are you talking about?
Just who are you talking about?
You’ve lost me – I wasn’t talking about anyone. I was merely expressing a somewhat pessimistic view about a likely outcome.
I don’t pretend to have delusions of God-like perspicacity or wisdom that I can somehow separate the population at large into “innocents” or “non-innocents.”
And why would anyone want to? – “innocents” have never fared well throughout history.
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.”
Ivan says “Just who are you talking about?” – see next paragraph of yours:
Ivan said prior: “Tough shit.
As far as I can see it is the kids of today who are the ones that are the most outspoken in support of all this “saving the planet” bullshit. They are the ones that are going to (justly) inherit a shithole of their own making.”
I was talking about “……… kids between 7 and 14 – these, and younger, are the ones being taken for a ride. Just who are you talking about?” – can’t you even remember what you fucking wrote??
Learn to read.
I don’t have a problem with reading – except for most of the shit that you write, which is mostly incoherent demented rambling.
If you look back, you will see that “innocents” was your concept – not mine – remember your first comment:
“Ivan – the problem is that many innocent ones will be taken along for the ride.”
So now we know – “innocents” are apparently “7 – 14 year old kids, and possibly younger” – presumably of your choosing. Thanks for the clarification. If only life was that simple.
Is this what you do in your spare time – when you’re not leturing people on how to live their lives? You divide the world up into “innocents” and – what – “the rest?”
Ivan – that’s right – I forgot – there’s no such thing as an innocent life to you – you like to kill ’em in the womb.
How you could make that claim with any degree of certainty amazes me – considering that I have never expressed a personal view on the matter. But don’t let the facts get in the way of a good rant.
But let me answer your vitriolic outpouring in this way – if I could be certain that they would grow up to be a nasty, abusive, insulting, vindictive bully, then I would have no hesitation in doing what you suggest.
