Statement as of 4:14 AM MST on March 08, 2013 … Winter Storm Warning in effect from 2 am to 5 PM MST Saturday… The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow… which is in effect from 2 am to 5 PM MST Saturday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect. * Timing… snow will begin over the urban corridor and southwestern Weld County after midnight tonight. Moderate to heavy snow is expected for much of Saturday. * Snow accumulations… are expected to range from 8 to 14 inches.

    I guess those ‘dramatic’ pictures of dried out corn stubble are meant to excite the city folks. Out here, we simply call that a field.

    also…add compost back into the soil for next growing season…however, the EPA is probably trying to figure out a way to stop farmers from doing good land management…

    Maybe you will have the same “Extreme Weather” that Washington DC received during its last Extreme weather! “Snowquester” or whatever name they used to describe a dusting of snow!
    Have the given your storm a name yet? 😉 It can not be serious until they give it a name!

    Searching for a similar WaPo article on the 5 year long EPA-manufactured drought in California’s Central Valley with no results.
    One would think it newsworthy – several hundred thousand acres of once productive farmland lie fallow. Thousands of jobs lost. US House recently debated a bill to turn pumps back on. Obama says he’ll veto it to protect Dem special interest group Natural Resources Defense Council…..er….a two-inch fish called the Delta Smelt.
