A Maryland lawmaker has introduced legislation after a 7-year-old boy in his district was suspended for shaping a pastry into what his teacher thought looked like a gun.
The Star Democrat reports that Republican Sen. J.B. Jennings introduced a bill that would prohibit schools from suspending students for seemingly harmless childish acts, such as playing games with fingers pointed like guns or chewing food into the shape of a firearm.
“These kids can’t comprehend what they are doing or the ramifications of their actions,” Jennings told the paper. “These suspensions are going on their permanent records and could have lasting effects on their educations.”
Josh Welch, a second-grader at Park Elementary School in Baltimore, was suspended last month after his teacher accused him of chewing his pastry into the shape of a gun

It didn’t go far enough, the teacher should be suspeded.for jumping the shark. 😆 I would have said jumping the GUN but I may get suspended err something! LMAO!
I agree, only without the inane LMAO. Like it or not, we are at war with the Insane Left, not merely a public debate. I have stated on other sites that the Republicans in the House of Representatives need to dedicate themselves now to doing just what the title of this post says. I for one am too poor to buy health insurance, and I refuse to beg the state to pay for it, through medicaid, to make me compliant with Obamacare. Basically, that law now demands that I pay rent on my body, or be fined out of existence. That such a law should have been passed–by insane Democrats, indeed–and then codified by an insane Supreme Court, is simply beyond what I, poor or not, will stand for in America. Those who think this merely an eccentric position in an ever-so-polite “public debate” are also thoroughly deluded.
I’ll laugh at the moron lefties every chance I get, and it’s not a very good spot to be in with O’Zero’s care.
No, the teacher should be canned immediately and barred from every participating in that career again. Period.
These people are precisely why we home schooled our child, and when she recently entered college, she found it to be a breeze. She is miles ahead of any of her classmates. (very proud father 🙂 )…
Legislating To Protect Us From Insane Democrats
